Hey, I don't know if I'm having a conflict or something. But i was wondering if you might be able to give a possible location it'd be in. Or does the quest just automatically join your quest log?
Ironically, I hate the .7z file. Specifically because you can't manually edit it. It's alright with your mod, but some mods just drop their files into a folder, which they then put in another folder. Which is more of a headache when you're extracting files enmasse into a folder to copy across. Or straight into the game folder, for those who don't use backups to copy across.
I like how you balanced your weapon, especially this one. The other weapon mods I'm using tends to be OP even with no perk points to buff weapons. Atm it pew pews like any basic heavy machine weapon, and needs the perks to make it end game... although keybinding chem boosters can still do work without pew pew perk too. I just wasted my settlement XD
I gave mine to Danse and when I ended up killing him it wasn't on his corspe and I have no idea what I did with it :(. What's the console command to spawn it in?
For some reason when taking the gun the game closes me, maybe it is a mod conflict but it leaves me bad taste because I really wanted to use the weapon. =C
Has to be a mod conflict of some kind because i am able to use the weapon. Usually the best way to find out what mod conflicts is to disable your mods and try them one by one.
please, i wouldn't ask i i could do it myself. i've been trying to make them work together but i just end up breaking one mod or the other every time i try. please i really want to use this weapon but i can't stand the vanilla gatling laser ammo system. im begging you please.
I have pretty much the same story. I have tried doing compatibility patches before and I haven’t gotten them to work. I think it needs tools outside of CK which I don’t often use.
Perhaps you could ask the author of the other mod for the patch? Other modders are welcome to make patches for my mods without having to ask me.
yah the issue i keep having is for some reason i cant add the gat ammo mod as a master file for some reason so any changes i make to this mod just result in missing files
i guess i can try to contact the MO for the ammo mod but i don't think he's been on in months so.......
thanks for responding though, any plans for more classic weapons? a certain minigun perhaps? or even an old west classic? :)
Hey, another one! You're on a roll. You know, you said it may not be your best work visually, but I think the important part is that your work is sincere. You've done a damn good job.
I'd appreciate that quite a bit! I think it would do good as a hazard suit/medic armor thing. Kind of like how the Stealth Suit in NV would administer Med-X and Stimpacks.
Love all the weapons you added, and I love how you prioritized the energy legendaries first: tons of weapon mods are out there that add the New Vegas guns alongside their legendary variants, it's awesome to see the old energy weapons that aren't too out of range of vanilla Fallout 4 being brought back. Definitely not a lot of energy weapons available, and as an Xbox Fallout 4 player I love how relatively lightweight most of these mods are.
Considering how many of the legendaries you've already done there aren't too many other energy legendaries to bring back that I can think of, say besides the Compliance Regulator. Have you considered using some modder's resources to build some of the more extreme variants, or even to build new weapons entirely? One legendary that would be amazing to see would be the Smitty Special, and there's a Plasma Caster Resource by wsxcgy that you could use as a base for building just that.

Maybe just take the grips of the vanilla Gatling Laser, attach them onto the model, texture the model, and add the Gatling animations, maybe even shape the barrel a little to match the Smitty, and use a larger version of the vanilla Plasma projectile for the weapon.
I didn't bother with the plasma caster since if I recall correctly, a variation of the weapon is already available on the nexus, Granted it's not exactly the same looking as the classic Plasma caster.
As for the resource, well, it still needs textures and making them from scratch is not one of my skills. So if someone does the textures for that then ill gladly put it in game.
Yes the compliance regulator is the only one that can theoretically be done in this way. I think i would be happy to see it even if it were a "simple" retexture with no mesh. Maybe with all mods this time and a blue beam. Weak but does paralyze.

I want to make the Compliance Regulator but Every fiber in me screams to get a new model for it. Hopefully I could find someone to model and texture it for me, I could then build the weapon up myself.

the mod changes the way gatling laser ammo works to be less annoying and is essential in my opinion for making gatling lasers not suck to use.
