Hi everyone Looks Menu is being worked on by the original creator. You can support their journey here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/looksmenu-next-103838746
So having an issue on my character where I can apply the tattoos fine but whenever I close the game and open it up later the tattoos are gone completely, not just invisible, removed. Help regarding this would be appreciated!
I find that it works best if I save my character as a preset e.g. a_player and then if anything bugs, I can just load a different preset, then load the a_player preset.
Here's a problem that's driving me bonkers. After I apply a few tattoos, all that will show up, regardless of the tattoo I choose is the bloody angel wings on the back. I remove it, try to apply another tattoo, and the angel wings show up again. I remove it and a completely different tattoo disappears. What the hell? I've tried moving the mod around in my load order, thinking that may be the problem. It doesn't help. Is there a specific place this mod should be in relation to Looks Menu and other tattoo mods? What could be screwing it up?
I've experienced this bug too. I think it has to do with some kind of overlays limit. Once you have a number of overlays, you just can't add any more. At least that's what I realized during my gameplay.
Love the tattoos and thanks for making a dark version of them. These work fine and show up on my character. Some other tattoo mods are just transparent and I have to add them about 2 or 3 times in Looksmenu to make them darker. Yours I only have to add once and it looks great. Thank you for this.
I was having Issues getting this working. This or Looks Menu Customization Compendium. But I've fixed the issue, for me at least, and maybe I can help some other people.
If you don't have F4EE.ini go back to wherever you downloaded LooksMenu, it's in those files, and make sure you installed it correctly and it's in Data/F4SE/Plugins along with it's .dll
That should fix it if it's simply not showing up. (Also the menu is under Body, hit R, and then R again)
Now if you are experiencing CTD on loading your save file like I was, I've found that Buffout 4 seems to be incompatible.
I had buffout 4 installed before and it worked fine until I added F4EE into my plugin folder. I uninstalled Buffout and now my game runs fine and I have tattoos.

i found your cool mod and wanted to ask to see if i could have permission to upload it to bethesda.net for xbox users
But it works on the last release (1.10.163).

After a long time I've managed to make this thing work! The issue is, there are some lines on f4ee.ini that must be changed. They are:
; Allows loading of json files to inject tints
bEnableTintExtensions=1 ; Default[1]
; Unlocks all hair styles (including modded)
bUnlockHeadParts=1 ; Default[0]
; Unlocks all makeup (including modded)
bUnlockTints=1 ; Default[0]
You must change them to "1" in order to enable the $overlay option in game.
