    Is this mod likely to break if I install it without AE? I was planning on just spawning them with the console and leaving it at that.

      I believe you can install it without AE if you want to just spawn it in via the console. Before Niero started doing his thing, making things craftable via AE was the standard versus using the chemistry bench like he does.
