A new optional patch by krypto5863 for Alt Vault Girl option only so you don't have to delete the files. Does not work with other Vault Girl options.
Loading XDI lower in your load order does not solve the issue because XDI packages its files in BSA archives. BSA archives are always overwritten by loose files regardless of load order. In this case, VGM uses loose files to allow for a dynamic install. These are instructions on how to delete the incompatible files found in VGM to make them work with XDI.
A real mod fix came out. Use this

- Download VGM here
- Extract the files from the zip and go to C:\Users\{NAME}\{SAVE LOCATION}\VGM Vault Girl Mod F4 - Alpha 1.9.4 - Copy\Interface Options\Dialogue
- Delete the content from the Dialogue folder
- Zip the folder and add it to the game via your Preferred MOD manager.
