Hey guys, as always I posted my forum topic to hear your suggestions for locations you would like to see me work on. Feel free to comment in the forum if you would like to give me your thoughts. I read every comment both here and in the forum. Thank you all for your continued support and I hope to hear from you soon.

I'm glad people make these "Clean Up" mods. I mean, SERIOUSLY.... 200 YEARS after the bombs fell, and NOBODY decided to pick up or make a broom, mop, or duster? Nobody decided to use trash cans and dumpsters to toss useless clutter away? Geez! lol.

This is brilliant - hope when you're done you do an all-in-one version; because there's not a single one you've done that I haven't downloaded lol

I do plan on doing an all in one version. Still working out how to do this. Merging mods as I have learned is a bit tricky, but I will be doing it.

Some comparison pictures showing before and after for these mods would be great.

Like the idea very much so downloading in order to endorse though my load order is a wee bit chocka (very full and even tried a few of those esl files) at the moment.

Just a thought, you are absolutely correct people would NOT live in filth for hundreds of years but there is one thing missing in the game, midden tip's, that is places outside of the settlement's were you would see the junk and filth thrown, places that a brave or high level scavver may love to loot through.

There is a hint of one but it is only a hint and that is outside of good neighbor by the entrance door were there are a few bodies thrown.

For a realism effect such sites should have lot's of scrap available and perhaps a nest of diseased mole rat's, rad roaches and other nasty vermin such as wild dog's as well but all with the disease affect (especially in survival setting) and maybe even some ghoul's as well as of course the obligatory scavver or two (I saw it first).

Dig deep (tunnel's like the one behind the red rocket but into these midden tip's) and you may find stuff that is valuable now to you but when people first started throwing there crap into these midden tips not long after the war was back then fairly common place so you might find half spent fusion cell's, poor quality weapon's and armor as well as lot's of resources such as broken circuit's, bottles etc and of course lot's of body's since so many dead and no one to bury them especially when the survivors had to clear the dead out of the site before they used it themselves.

Of course the midden tip idea is just for you to mull over and I am not certain how you might go about making one, perhaps if the settlement is on high ground outside it's wall's in ditches or in mound's, now there is one really good midden tip in the game but it is not called that - remove the cars from it and the site were you encounter a lot of mole rat's attacking a lone settler giving you the chance to try to save them and that is the rotten land fill, a perfect example of what I am suggesting, a mound of junk and debris overrun by vermin but of course it is innocuous as there is no nearby settlement so has to be a pre-war site, still remove the car's except perhaps inside the mound, add some broken old robot's and thing's and some dead body's and that could be the basis for a great midden tip for your settlement tidy up, of course the good stuff would be at the bottom because after all as resources became ever more scarce people were ever less likely to throw stuff away.

So downloading in order to endorse but you have an opportunity to add some midden tip cave's similar to the cave by the red rocket or the rotten land fill with a little choice loot at there deepest level's - and of course perhaps those mole rat's like shiny things so eat them and you find some on there corpses on occasion - never understood how a mole rat could carry or eat a rifle though.

There is one other place I have never seen a refuse site or a recycling site and that is in the vault's, they do recycle but surely there must be some kind of facility to do so yet there is non, a biological reactor to break down and reuse biological waste and dead body's as well as perhaps an automated robot controlled facility to recycle inorganic waste and of course a safe site within the vault to seal away the waste they could not recycle, it was a running joke in fallout though since at least fallout 3 were you encounter a vault tech mock up vault in the museum of technology and as you pass one of the windowed display's the voice mention's the 'revolutionary floor suck auto cleaning system - never sweep again' that is meant to keep the floor's clean while outside the room is a skeleton janitor with a broom.
    https://youtu.be/zURNTTC3Oes

So there is yet another potential to add this idea of your's and such a facility added to the vault's could even have mad robot's wanting to recycle any explorers that enter them?, that said some new wasteland robot's, robot trash collectors gone mad since the emergency protocol's kicked in, a landfill full of skeleton's and topped with body's these crazy robot's have collected (many while they were alive).

You make some good points, however such locations near populated areas crawling with beasts is probably not practical as the population would have likely exterminated them. My vision is that they would find ways to dispose of waste that would not create piles of trash anywhere near the location. There are several ways this could be done but none of which are things I intend to incorporate at this time. I may revisit/update these files at a later point though.

Nice. Gonna install this one right now, as Acadia is my Far Harbor BoS headquarters. By the way, do you plan to release an all-in-one file with all your cleaned up locations?

Yes I do plan to make an all in one file but that is down the road a bit though. I may release several all in ones to separate the locations related to DLC's for simplification.
