Exactly! I was having the same problem yesterday, and I noticed that too on the main.BA2 file of the mod itself. The models were called PA_X1_, while on the Reposition patch they're called PA_X01_.
Just renaming them to PA_X1_ makes them all work flawlessly.
the wires for the coils on my helmet are inside the helmet instead of outside and the coil are to far forward for some reason. Only does it when the unofficial patch is on.
Sounds like what happens when you just use the original mod and UFP. Check to see if this mod is installed and you have the game setup to recognize loose files (mod managers should have this turned on).
Thanks so much for the quick post love this mod and u nailed it after reinstall fallout 4 i forgot to change my Fallout4custom.ini. Now it works Great.
I just double-checked, but the same files and paths are used by captain-ultima's previous stand-alone Tesla X-01 mod (here https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14515 ), so anyone using that could feasibly use this fix if they wanted too. Good show! :)
This is amazing, but for some reason I'm still getting a bug on the helmet. When I try to equip the Tesla coils on it, the helmet looks all disproportioned and shrunk up.
Do you have another mod altering the power armors? This sounds like it still using the old lowered un-fixed helmet. If you are, you can just delete PA_X01_Tesla_Helmet.nif from this mod. This will use the original tesla mesh from X-01 Tesla Upgrade Kit.
