Can I change this "be in the faction" thing in Fo4edit? Or must I open it in the CreaKit?
I just want flags on my naked walls, because they are nice looking...
I am not a huge fan of such things: be in a faction, then you can have this and this in a singleplayer game. The AI or the factions do not care about my home decoration style, I am very sure...
I would ask for a faction free version. But I was told as a child: "You want it? Learn how to get it!" So I just want to know: is there a way to get rid of it in the simple way -> FO4edit... or just with the CreationKit
UPDATE: worked fine in FO4edit. Just delete the row.
Hi,the small flagpoles can not be placed on the table or sth...It is a bit wired. And the BoS flagpole is wrong, it uses the Institute texture, I dont know why.
The flagpoles not being able to be placed on tables is a result of the table not having the right keyword. If the table is from a mod, it is likely that the table is not properly set up, preventing you from placing anything on it. I will perform a quick check on all the flags and make sure the textures are right, and will upload a new version soon.
Thx man. But I'm 100% sure that I just use the official DLCs furniture. The desks, the table and so on are all vanilla. U know, I can still put the toolbox on the table.
All my flags have the correct keywords to prevent this behavior. There is nothing I can do to fix it. You may have luck using place everywhere if you don't want to hop into CK and add them to the table.
I had this same issue with the flag mod I'm working on. The answer that SKK50 kindly shared with me on the forums is that the ActorValue WorkshopAnythingIsGround with a value of 1 needs to be added to each desktop flag Static. Hope this helps.
Have you tried with vanilla textures? Looking at the mod you used in the screenshots (Vanilla flag-textures reworked 2k with variations), the top halves of the textures are identical to the bottom halves, so the issue won't be noticeable aside from the highlighting in build mode before placing. For the vanilla flag textures though, the top and bottom halves are shaded differently - one for one side of wall and waving flags, one for the opposite side.
If a specific flag doesn't have a one-sided variant already present in the Materials directory (it should have 'OneSided' on the end of the file name), it can be made with Material Editor. Just make a copy of the specific flag .bgsm, add 'OneSided' to the name, open it in Material Editor, untick 'Two Sided', and save.
This is a great mod, and I wish I'd discovered it sooner. The only thing I'd like to see added to it is a waving Prewar flag, but that's hardly a deal breaker. Excellent work, endorsed.

Thankfully, it's an easy fix - the one-sided variants of each flag's material files just need to be applied to these particular statics.
