this is so awesome, im a great fan of any kind of blur unfortunately the blur applies to bolt action (or pump guns) rifles in between the cycles as well... that's kinda killing it for me :(
Hey really like the idea and loved Black back in the day too. You said it was open source but when I manually downloaded it just had the pex. Please could you upload the psc files.
The script included just adds the perk with the effect to the player. It doesn't really have anything to do with the actual effect. I use the vanilla Night Person perk's script to apply the imagespace modifiers.
I checked if the player's GetActorGunState was set to 4, the reloading state. Animation events might be better if its the same generic event names for even mod added weapons. Currently even rechambering in bolt/pump/single action weapons triggers the reload state as well.
Might be worth trying it like that to see the difference. Don't know if rechambering is a desired effect or not? All weapons should use the same animation event even mod weapons.
I quite vaguely remember BLACK... never owned the game myself, but my friend had it. Gonna try this out the next time I boot up Fallout 4. Looks promising.

I don't want my character to go temporarily blind after each reload .
I think a second or so should be enough to register the position of the gun.
