Idk If I'll ever get a response, but I'll try anyway. I'm on an HP Reverbe G2, and I have an odd issue with this mod... I think its this mod. When I install this mod the movement axis for the doombased gun moves to the right spot. Except that the gun model doesn't move forward to the right spot, and im still stuck holding the mag. I tried Doombased without your mod, and your mod does change the axis to the right spot like id expect. Im using Doombased v1.3 and v2.2 of your mod. I'm not sure if it could be "Fallout 4 VR Compatibility Patch for DOOMBASED Weapons Merged" that is causing the issue but it makes pretty much all guns except for the FAL and Glock unplayable for me. I am using FRIK, but i don't think that should change anything. Any ideas?
thank you for your effert!! please!! update for the 1.3 version, those guns works excellent in VR. bring lots of modifications. i do want to try those new guns but there are two issues. first, some reflex sights are not accurate like m1911 and RX one always on the left side another is too high, and the flash light on those guns never works, i tried the toggle made from chemical workstation.
Thank you for making this fix. Having a slight issue with the AK. its is the only gun in the pack that still has the vr grip problem. # Any tips on how to fix that ?
hi, the fix is great but i have a couple of issues. the vsv and the FN fal are just gone, the gun itself is still "in game" but there's no model and is just being sold and exists in inventory. they are able to be equipped but nothing happens of course. other then that it's great. i ended up making a pistol character as the guns were too annoying to use in VR, but after this it's like becoming a killing machine with the AR's XD cheers mate! i hope i find a fix!
It sounds like you're using version 1.3 of Doombased Weapons Merged, while this mod only supports version 1.2 (the version before the FN-FAL, Ithaca Model 37 and VSV were added). I would recommend using version 1.1 of this mod as it doesn't change anything in the plugin, just the meshes. The patch won't correct the FN-FAL, Ithaca Model 37 and VSV though, they would still be too far forward if Doom used the SMG as a base for them.
It's better than nothing, but the parallax on the dot still doesn't provide much more accuracy, its still way off, you still have to line the sight up with the laser. Take a look at this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/28553. It stick the dot way out in front of the gun, you can't even see it if you're pointing it at the ground, those sights are spot on accurate.
I have Weaponsmith 2, so I was in trouble - until I have found this article: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/29890 If you have Creator Kit from vanilla FO4, it is a 3-minute fix - just open the .esp where the problematic weapon is added with Cretion Kit, go to weapons, open the weapon in question, switch to "Art&Sound" tab, and edit "1st person model" to "Weapons\HandMade\Recievers\_1stPerson\DummyReciever_1stPerson.nif" Save the mod. If you had any of the fixes installing "Weapons\HandMade\Recievers\_1stPerson\DummyReciever_1stPerson.nif", then you're done, else download and install it from https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/29890 into the "..../Fallout4VR/Data/meshes/" directory.
The gun grips don't line up with your controller? If you are using the AWKCR V2.1 patch I forgot a step but it should be resolved in V2.2. Beyond that the esp in my patch needs to overwrite the esp that comes with DOOMBASED Weapons Merged or the patch won't work.
They're all integrated into the leveled lists except the M2019 PKD Detective Special. This means they'll spawn on NPCs and vendors. If you check out the original mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16387?tab=description) under "Location" and then click on the spoiler tag it'll show you some static locations on the map where you can find them. Keep in mind that this is just a VR patch, you must have the original mod for it to work.
Edit: Yup, this patch is only meant to fix a couple of things for VR. You can technically use it with non VR Fallout 4 but it'll make the weapons act weird. Check out the original mod I linked above if you just want the weapons.
