This mod does not work anymore!! I've tried everything I can think of, reinstalling both mods, reinstalling F4SE moving things around the load order until my eyes hurt. No matter what I do, I can only get the texture from Sierra 117 Redux. I am completely unable to get the armour pictured in this mod. I don't know is theres some other mod I have thats somehow conflicting, or maybe this mod needs an update, maybe my copy of Fallout is broken, I don't know. What I do know is it does not work for me. If someone could please help me out I would be very grateful.

Please add to LL. You cant use console commands on survival, Survival unlocker conflicts with Horizon, and getting this from a chest is cheap and cheaty.

Sierra 117 mod now uses a regular .esp file and not an .esl. Will this be updated to work with that .esp or is there some kind of workaround?

Why are the armor values so crazy, any way to make them more reasonable for challenging gameplay?

Sierra 117 is Master Chief, from Halo, who is a Super Soldier. This armour is turning you into a Super Soldier. You want normal values? go into the files and change them?

Awesome mod but if you use the Pip-pad mod then where the pip-boy would be there isn't anything there
EDIT: Nvm I just realised that this isn't the original version of this mod :/

I use the Nexus Mod Manager but he does not show me the Sierra117V3.esl.
The Spartan Combat Armor.esp tells me "Sierra 117V3.esl - DISABLED" but the .esl file is not in the list

You need to use NMM 63.17 to enable/disable .esl files.

I tried to update my Nexus Mod Manager to 63.17 from 63.14 but when I did, it said it is up to date at .14...

Don't upgrade. Install 63.17 but keep 63.14. the newer version won't let you move .esp files around. I've been moving .esp files with .14 and then using .17 to enable .esl files.

Where do you get 63.17? The download link at the top of the page says 63.14.

Seems an odd choice to use an experimental version of an existing program to run the mod.

The esp doesn't work properly because it's using "Sierra117V3.esl" as a master instead of .esp. Also, does this really need all the DLCs as masters?

From what I can tell, it looks like he built this off a previous version.

I wish I could fix this plugin myself, but I can't open it without first fixing the error, and I can't fix the error without opening it. I'm concerned about whether the maker can open it to fix it themself, having found that out.

Looking again, it says ".esl" in the mod description itself, but the ".esl" file that comes with this mod doesn't appear as an option for my load order and all it does in FO4Edit is cause a crash.

The CK doesn't allow .esp masters for some dumb reason. In order to use the base mods colors and upgrades, I had to create the esl file. I don't like it either, but I'm kinda stuck at this point. I'm a mesh monkey, so getting the armors in game are not my strong suit. I tried for about a week to find a solution that worked. If anybody out there is a CK wizard and wants to take a crack at it, I'd appreciate the help. The DLC are masters because of the Armor Keywords dependency. I think.

How are you managing your plugins? the Sierra117V3.esl shows up just below the esm files in Mod Organizer for me.

If i remember Right you can set this Proper with Fo4 Edit instead of CK , i have absolutely no idea about Creation Kit but maybe Fo4 Edit helps you a bit more to see whats happening.

Okay, I was operating under the assumption that esl was a typo, but I see now that it's some kind of stupid new "light master" thing. NMM does not support it, except through an update that has to be installed manually rather than through the launcher. You've must have missed something though, because there's a ton of mods with esp masters and they've gotta be doing it somehow.

Best I can figure, esp masters are done in FO4Edit or in older versions of CK. I don't use FO4edit. CK strips any esp masters when saving the file, and by extension, removes the dependencies. Took me about 5 tries to figure out what was happening.

Your solution is a bit too complicated. What stopped you from editing .esp file from the original mod? Just add your stuff to what's already in there and boom! - everything is awesome. No .esl's, no hassle, no head-scratching. As far as I know, you don't need author's permission to edit the .esp file because it kinda counts as owned by Bethesda.

And don't worry, you won't hijack somebody else's mod by doing that. Your work is still using the assets from the original mod, so people would still visit its page, acknowledge its existence and download the content.

I don't like editing other people's esps. If this is too complicated for you, don't download it.

Whatever floats your boat, man. I'm just giving my opinion, that's all. The version of NMM that supports .esl files is a bit buggy and doesn't even exist "officially", so my desire to avoid it is only rational. I can't be the only one who thinks in this way.

A word of advice, though - next time you'll need to say "no", consider being more polite. This "if you don't like it, go to hell" attitude is hardly constructive. That, and you twisted my words to insult my intelligence, either intentionally or by accident.

Have a nice day and happy modding.
