Hi, the only heavy fps part in this build are the shadow casting light emiters, which can be scrapped (big grey floating sphere in workshop mod). So if you feel like it, you can still do that and try the build if it fits you game ;)
Hello, first of all thank you for this wonderful settlement! But I have a problem that several walls are not displayed even though all requirements are installed. The walls are simply not there and everything works perfectly with your super settlement, the castle. Is there a tip to solve the problem? regards
That's weird, if i understand correctly, you have the original building in your back and are facing the pool, and part of the walls and doorway of the building i added around the pool are missing? They are from borderjunk and Snappy housekit mainly (if not only. Could you check these 2 mods in your load order if they are well activated and are liste before workshop rearranged plz?
Hello and thanks for the advice. they recognized it exactly right and I can see that the parts are from Snappy Housekit. I corrected the loading order (I usually use LOOT) and now it works :). Strange but I don't want to think about it any further ... :) Thank you for the help and thank you for the settlements that were designed with love!
over 3000 objects well this will take some time now. also right now i try to import this without Move That Workbench - mod as many ppl seem to have problems with it. lets see how it works out.
After you did the castle 3000 should a breath of fresh air didnt it? :D
I dont even remember where is the workbench, neither before or after i moved it... But i'm using that particular mod since about it's released and never had any issue.
ok, great work yet again. interesting was, i couldn't scrap some lockers which were there by default. i couldn't even target them. blessed be markfordelte and disable.
EDIT: also the workbench is at its default location. i just moved the nearby table.
Hey...well...i actually have done like 6 or 7 castle since im playing FO4. Thing is, i hit my fps limite way before i had time to finish them. So for now i'm sticking to small/medium area and see with biggest one at the end ;-)
Oh man do I understand.. which is why I love your high quality builds.. Never again will I feel forced to build at Oberland or the Slog, etc. to feel like the commonwealth actually has a population with villages and towns. The Castle is probably my favorite settlement is all =P. I can't even imagine your vision for Sanctuary, though from what you say, your pc would probably implode.
Oh I can relate to that pain. As soon as I get a noticeable FPS hit it tanks my care to continue with a project. I have found a few tricks that free up some FPS. 1.) All the basics like tweaking performance, certain mods etc. 2.) Using the mod "dustbowl" while this changes the entire environment of FO to a NV vibe, it removes almost all of the vegetation which makes it easy to build in open areas like Spectacle Island. Or 3.) Build Up! Take to the skies. I was able to build one of my largest projects with almost no FPS hit just by being high enough the game does not have to render as much.
I'm already using like 4 or 5 fps boosting mods, but at some point unless buying a brand new pc I can't have the biggest settlements running smooth sadly.
Concerning point 2, as much as I liked NV, I don't want it in FO4. They 2 differents games with their own ambiance and I want to keep that ;-)
And about point 3, that's an idea I'll keep in mind. Thing is it will be hardly believable outside of downtown. I tried once in Abernathy in and around the tower but it has invisible walls everywhere...
Back on the castle, the long metal shacks will actually look pretty cool on the walls. They are exactly the same size. I might try it one day, and you are free to do it too if you wish.
Mmh i changed all my mod since this BP because i had some issues with vortex and whypped them all by mistake, and i didnt get them all back... From memory, the ones that used to have the biggest impact were "remove insignificant object" and the one doing something on the shadow, name is "shadowboost" or something like that. I also use optmisized texture mods, just pick any of them depending on your tests.
I have a question for you concerning one of the assets that you used in this build...it's the security center on the upper floor - the converted trailer. Where did you get that trailer, is it the one from the KURO's mod, or a different one? If it is, how did you remove all the stuff from it? I want to use it in my Red Rocket build, but I can't figure out how to strip all the stuff off of it. Thanks in advance!
Thank you so much! It's so difficult to find anything in this stupid "workshop" labyrinth. I've been writing down all the various paths to the cool things I stumble upon...I'm still missing a ton of stuff, though. For example, I have a mod called "Craftable Greebles" but I can't find any of that stuff in my workshop...even after running the mod management tool. This workshop "system" needs a complete overhaul from top to bottom. Anyway, thanks again for your help!!
For the greebles you need SKE or the won't show up with workshop rearranged ^^ there is another greeble mob called greeble and decoration which goes into the decoration tab then miscellaneous (another tab, not the one from WR). At some point you will remember where to find each piece of stuff and it will go much easier for the building.
I have the SKE tab, but there isn't very much in there. For example: under SKE > structures there is only a 'misc' tab...and in there I only have 2 scaffolding objects. There is no SKE 'Decorations' tab, which is probably where the pipe and electrical greebles would be located.
I just downloaded the the other greebles mod that you mentioned, I'm going to check it out now!
You must have superhuman patience to create a work of art like this with such broken tools! We're lucky to have a person like you in our community!
I'm having trouble saving my game after this settlement has been imported...I'm on my 5th attempt now. Every time I try to save my game locks up and I have to do a hard reboot...I've tried everything; moving away from the area; looking at the ground; looking at the sky...etc., etc.. What do I need to do to get this thing resolved?
I read some of the other comments about how you've tried to do the Castle but run out of computing power...with a big settlement like Sanctuary, for example, you could do it in a 3 mod installation, or whatever. The first mod might cover the bridge, the river front, the first 3 houses, and the wall that surrounds the settlement. Mod 2 would cover the middle section...and mod 3 would cover the cul-de-sac area. I mention this only because I want you to apply your talents to a total makeover of my beloved Sanctuary!
Well actually i'm doing a sanctuary build right now, but my gaming time is very low due to work&irl and the place is huge so i'm not even sure i migth be able to finish it one day ^^ Already have done 5-6 houses with randomn ideas i had but i still need so much more time to fully finish it.
That's great news! I've always wanted to re-do Sanctuary but could never use the hilariously broken tools that the incompetent clowns at Bethesda gave us! At any rate, I hope you can finish your 'Sanctuary' project...it'll be a dream come true!

As said below, the screenshots are taken with NAC and Film Workshop.

About the wall, if you could be more specific, like where exactly ? How many?
When I stand in front of the 'original' main building with a view of the pool, partitions or walls with built-in doors are randomly missing.

Edit: problem solved.
And thanks for the kind words!
In that case you might see the wall much longer or shorter and in a pinkish color, but they are real ;-)
But great job still!
