there's a .ini setting to enhance the default scanlines:
    [Pipboy]
    fScanlineFrequency=150.0000
^ that's what I have it set to

So if you wanted to edit that setting in combination with this mod, or without this mod. The affect would probably be pleasing.

This mod is awesome, endorsed. If you want that nostalgic look this is perfect. It is the same file as the cracked screen mods so I adjusted the scan lines instead of using this mod so I could also have a cracked screen. I also got some background lines enhancement using the RGB PIP mod. There are ini settings for lots of pip effects like pulse, flicker, vertical scan and more.

Where's the .ini for that? If you don't mind me asking.

I love this mod a lot! Only request I have regarding it is the colors. Can it be synced up to the color options of HUD/Pip-Boy? Kind of like how the original Pip-Boy 3000 had it. The lines' colors would match the Pip-Boy text colors.

Again, this is an amazing mod! Endorsed

Look pip pad is supposed to be an old style PDA or tablet style pipboy while the pipboy 3000 is supposed to be a fallout universe over sized smart watch (valves kind of do that for you as of course they are huge compared to transistors - never mind silicon chip's though to be fair they are EMP resistant so WOULD probably survive the magnetic effects of a nuclear blast which would actually fry most IC's).

So my best guess is NO, that said it would be possible to create a pipboy 3000 inspired re-texture for the pip pad with no real difficulty, but since the pip pad is something that would not exist in the fallout universe (barring a mysterious UFO crash at Roswell and years of reverse engineering and leaking to the public through proxy company's of the thus reverse engineered alien technology) and even the pip boy would require miniaturization of valve technology to the microscopic level well, maybe I am reading too much into it but hey you have valve powered robots that in the real world would be toasters but in the fallout universe have artificial intelligence and of course you DO have a micro chip in the form of the Synth component so did the institute independently reinvent chip's or were they being developed before the war in the alternate time line of the fallout universe?, and is it a micro chip as we understand it or did they simply manage to make super microscopic valves instead of semi conductor technology's.

And there I go drooling on again.

No probably not compatible if the pip pad uses it's own first person interface but a mod in the same style could easily be made for the pip pad if you wanted the feel of it and just maybe the mod maker will make one if you request and if they use the pip pad themself.

And don't be disparaged by childish sarcasm though to be fair we are all sarcastic sometime's.

Listen first of all I'm at work so I can't try this, I was just asking in case anybody was using it right now if it worked. Second of all it's possible that the pip boy menu texture is interchangable with the pip pad (since it's just a texture and the pip pad uses the same vanilla one) I'm not sure why anyone had to go off about transistors/valves XD anyways, I'm willing to bet this works fine with the pip pad, I will try it later but all it is is a texture swap and the pip pad mesh is built around the vanilla pip boy interface texture. So yeah... It should work. I'll try it later

All the pip pad does is change the meshes and animations from the regular pip boy to the pip pad (in very simple terms). It only really touches the stuff around the pip boy screen, not the screen itself I don't think. No need to be that guy :p

Yeah someone does get carried away sometime's, being a former electronic engineer can do that for you but that is another story.
Anyway I just added some context to make reading the comment more fun so don't take it so serious and you ARE correct about the texture.
By the way that crap about the Roswell incident - well a bit more trivia that throw's a spanner into the fallout universe timeline and valves is the simple fact we already new about semi conductor property's since the 1920's just never got around to making use of them until the first diodes and transistor's came into being after WW2.

(actually correction apparently semi conductors were first observed in the late 1800's so?)

Sorry I wasn't trying to come off too serious, it just seemed like orbitalwar was being a little snappy up there lol anyways that's interesting to know. The invention of the transistor was basically where the timeline splits from ours to fallout's right?

Hey sorry for the late reply, I personally like this mod because I see potential for the upcoming New Vegas mod for fallout 4 and the Capital wasteland Mod as well but yes the fallout 4 timeline split's sometime in the mid 20th century perhaps even during WW2 and from that point the fictional history of the fallout universe diverges from our real one with the Chinese and not the Russian's being the US biggest enemy.
According to this comprehensive site the divergence between fallout and reality time line's is somewhere between the end of WW2 and 1961 usually zeroed to about 1950
      https://fallout.gamepedia.com/Fallout_timeline

You know for a game the lore behind the fallout universe is very deep and even perhaps novel worthy.

Yes I agree with all of that, I'm excited for F4NV and the other projects as well and i find the lore interesting as well, too bad fallout 4 doesn't really try to add to it much. It even screws it up in some places. I can't even call them retcons either, it's like the devs on fallout 4 never even played one before.

It's slowly turning into something of a Fallout game though and we have mod authors like you to thank! As LABTECH mentioned we should all be very excited for F4NV, Fallout: He Capital Wasteland, and Fallout: Cascadia. The very people who brought us XDI, MCM, LevelUpMenuEx, PipBoy Tabs, and many of the most popular weapons and armor mods here on nexus. Pretty soon not only will Fallout 4 feel more like Fallout (hopefully with some work), we will have several new fallout's to play.

Great idea, suitable also for the capital wasteland and new vegas mod's that are being built so for a more authentic feeling in those recreations something like this will be very good to have and I hope it garners more endorsement's, shall endorse shortly.
