*NEW* in version 3.2 - Fomod installer (AGAIN). No additional updates at this time, except corrected paths (AGAIN for NMM users). This update is NOT required, but otherwise will not hurt anything either. Repackaged, the repackaged fomod.... for NMM support on install paths.
***NEXUS MOD MANGER USERS*** Version 0.63.14 does not support .esl files. Please update to Vortex (if you are able), or 0.63.19+ (if available) from the Nexus Mod Manager GitHub: https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases
why i have to use the mod looksmenu why not make it a direct mod when i used custom eyes i only installed the eyes directly and thats it why i have to download looksmenu so much trouble for such a simple mod
I understand you perfectly. I wanted a nail mod for my female character and... I found 2, one of them requires CBBE, and another one requires LOOKSMENU :'( . f*#@! I JUST WANT A DAMN NAIL MOD
Disregard. I was trying to fix M-skin for CBBE since it sorta breaks the females (not the player) into 3 different colors. I reinstalled that and ofc this works perfectly. Thank you for the mod.
Seems to work OK for me, to a degree. Some of the colors work, some came up as "missed-texture-pink". However, I only came to get a red shade for my gal and that's working, so I'm happy...lol.
This is N-O-T me complaining, by the way. The mod did for me exactly what I wanted to; nice job; I'll be endorsing. :)
Just find it off that some colors worked and some didn't...or maybe I need to take another look to be sure I wasn't seeing things...I can def be accused of "tunnel vision" with these kind of things.
The solution offered for us NMM users kinda baffled me, tho. I don't know about other folks, but Looks Menu itself has a nasty habit of deselecting itself and sending itself to the bottom of my load order (it's an already-reported glitch; I've read about it on the mod's page)...until Vortex returns the basic freedom of modders to manipulate their own load order, I can't see myself changing over. I like tweaking the load order...and sometimes it's just flat-out necessary. :/
Anyway...is what I'm reporting having happening to me new in any way? And if not, other than Vortex, is there anything I can do for it?
Hi, Little question, I know it's not compatible with fusion girl but when I check in gimp the overlays match perfectly with hands texture. In game when wearing no gloves the nail disappears. Do you know what's the problem ?
It's based on CBBE, shares most of the textures with it as well. Fusion Girl's hands have modeled finger nails now, whereas CBBE's hands do not. This is a great addition, but it also means that the hand textures have changed, with new UV mappings for the fingernails themselves. What that means for this mod (and any others like it), is that to provide support - new overlay textures would need to be generated for Fusion Girl.
It looks like this was only done to the hands. The body texture (which includes the feet) appears to be UV mapped the same between CBBE and Fusion Girl.
This is on my list of things to do, when I come back to FO4 modding - but I've been very busy lately with other projects.
If you look at the basefemalehands_d.dds from the fusion girl mod, you will see that the actual nail textures are separate at the top. As a temporary solution, you can create a new texture file that puts a colored block (if you are lazy like me) over these nail textures. Like this: ?
? Make sure that the block is not over the skin texture of the hand. Save the file in textures\overlays\AWP3RATOR\cbbe_fnails_12_d.dds (this is for the black one). It looks ok. The UV mapping of the meshes is not perfect, so don't zoom in too close.... it's better than nothing I guess...
How exactly does it apply to the hands? I have a patch that separates the left and right hands into different meshes to fix an issue with a specific mod, but the overlays don't apply to the separated right hand model.
The overlays are applied by LooksMenu, not this mod. This mod is essentially just textures for the LooksMenu overlay feature. There is a single mesh (in vanilla) for both hands, i.e. FemaleHands.nif. If you have a mod that splits that hands into 2 meshes, it's likely that is the reason for the issue with LooksMenu's overlays.
Thanks! I'll try seeing if LM will let me redirect to the other mesh as well, i love rocking blue nails from here and can see this being a staple in my order permanently.
