If you make your own I'd love it if you sent it to me! I can repackage them into my FOMOD (with credits of course). Let's get a metric ass ton of these.
'Vault Empire' Expansion; Allows for the addition of Vault-Tec related locations that Aurreth isn't interested in adding themselves. '81 Secret Wing(1), Suffolk County Charter School(2), Arcturus I Exhibit(3), Bradburton Personal Vault(4),
Misc/Friendly Freaks; QoL for Norweigian Ghouls, Super Mutant Refugee Camp (inspired by cut-content), Another ship. FMS Northern Star(5), Horizon Flight 1207(6), RMS Duchess of Kent(7), settlement 8 um?, settlement 9 err?, & settlement 10 I'm out of ideas...
Love this patch so much! First time round I followed your guide for editing in my own names using FO4Edit and it went smoothly. Ended up deleting old saves and wanted to try new names. Second time round, I'm wondering what I did the first time. Was wondering if there could be a visual equivalent to your guide (pictures or video)? I'm going to keep working on it and hopefully see where I'm going wrong!
Not sure if it's the one .esp I use (NATO), or all of these... But creating outpost Alpha, I discovered when applying traderoutes that in the lists it's still called Caldeira Outpost. Everywhere else it's Alpha. Might become confusing with dual names eventually.
Oh no, absolutely not... Didn't check here for a reply in a while ^_^
See if I can break this down; The point for me with this mod was to make the names easier and more logical to remember, and NATO seemed like a good candidate using the alphabet so I took that version. And sure enough, when I see it on the map the first site is called Alpha, in the pipboy list of settlements it's also called Alpha, but when I send settlers or create supply lines, it's called Caldeira Outpost (ie not renamed). So I suspect every outpost gets like 2 names depending on where I look for it. ...edit; yes, Bravo on the map gets Dunham-something in the "send to"-list for provisioners or settlers.
EDiT; When settlements get attacked, it also uses the default names like Caldeira Outpost, etc Now I atleast know that's Alpha on the map :p
It gets kind of scary removing such a mod midgame too, if this was an oversight in all your versions or just the one I tried (and still have installed) since I haven't tried any of the others (myths version was a bit tempting too considering the places I build at).
Did you happen to find a fix for this? Or will they always have the double names. Still very happy with the mod, it's just sometimes confusing when sending settlers... rather than sending them to my custom named 'Minutemen Training Yard' the name is still Dunn Outpost in the settlement list.
Using your guide I chose all my own names. I just set up my first ever Conquest settlement - "Thoreau's Cabin" (at Walden Pond). I also plan to setup other settlements using the following names: "The Hub" (nod to FO1), "Citadel" (minor nod to FO3), "Liberty's Cradle", "Molasses Sanctum" (set in North End, a ref to the Great Molasses Flood, Boston 1919), "Rad Sox Bullpen" (near Diamond City, to be a bullpen/hangout for a post-war baseball league), "Dorchester Heights" (at the unmarked Dorchester monument), "Witcher's Den" (to be at Salem), "Havenstead", and "Deadman's Gun" (lil nod to Red Dead Redemption). Cheers, Capt.!
Well what I did was crack it open in CK to see how it ticked. and found all instances of the settlement names (1 mention of each name doesn't matter). Then FO4Edit gave me the sterile environment. If you enjoy then don't forget to give me that sweet sweet Endorsement.
There's a mod that offers alternate name lists for conquest settlements, but it appears to change their map names without changing their send-settler-to dialogue names. That being said, I wonder if the ideas used in the "rename anything" mod could be used to change settlement names? There's no ingame or inventory item to click on so that mod by itself can't change the settlement names, but fully customizable names would be truly extra awesome.
You could try clicking on the Workbench and using rename anything. Anything that would rename on thefly would require F4SE because the names of s#*! is largely hidden.
This has become one of my must-have mods. I sort of wish that it worked with the gavel in sim settlements, that just zaps all my settlers in front of me for assignments, but I get why the two very different mods might not work well together. Conquest settlements can be built in some.... odd places (my fault for choosing them) and the settlers do sometimes find themselves in inopportune places as a result.

I've been oogling the esp in FO4Edit but was too chicken to edit the outpost names because I was afraid to break something. Haha
