I'd like to see this as well; the only other mod that I've found that attempts to do so is physically incapable of displaying the red "reduced maximum" bars for HP or AP, which is more frustrating than the HUD being transparent.

You are more than welcome to edit the files as you wish. I recommend Paint.NET (https://www.getpaint.net/) for editing PADash05.dds.
Paint.net is the BEST free image editor. It has a nice friendly user interface. Hundreds of free plugins. I just started to try out paint.net and I am using my XP-Pen Deco 03 pen tablet . it have a great results .
Holy Hell that overlay looks awsome compare to the normal game's PA HUD,is it new or is it in the VR base game? nonetheless can someone import or create that HUD overlay for the base game? it looks awsome
Just a quick note: it probably isn't more immersive to have an opaque HUD. In real life (e.g. in aircraft or that new star-wars themed AR headset), HUDs are often implemented by having an angled piece of glass which reflects a brightly lit display somewhere the person can't see directly. This gives the impression of a transparent display overlayed onto real-life objects. If you make the piece of glass curved then you can make the reflected display look in-focus when your eyes are focused on objects further away, much like the lenses in a VR headset make it possible to focus on a screen that's only an inch or so from your eyes.

" Also add *Fallout4_VR.esm to your plugins.txt "
Where is my plugins txt? I see it nowhere.

This combined with a loadorder.txt and plugins.txt in your C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME HERE]\AppData\Local\Fallout4VR
plugins.txt should read: (or add *Fallout4_VR.esm to the end if you are already modding)
Fallout4.esm
*Fallout4_VR.esm
loadorder.txt should read:
Fallout4.esm
Fallout4_VR.esm

In Fallout universe, which is in the future of twisted 50's atomic continuum, there probably isn't any HUD's as we know them.
"that's just. like your opinion, man."
