Updated For Horizon V 1.8

Animated drinking is no long apart of this mod. Thanks to gpthree for keeping it up to date!
Nuka World DLC is required
.

This can be used with or without Desolation mode!

What is this patch? Well, its a bunch of changes to some of the consumables in Horizon--err but I'm sure the name of the patch gave that away. Its personal preference of course and I think Zawinul has done a fantastic job! I dont think any of my changes are too drastic--so I think its ok balance wise. But, It took some time to make this patch...so I figured I would upload it if anyone else wanted to get some use out of it. I don't expect a lot of people to be interested in this, but its something I will be using...whenever I get around to actually playing!

I rolled my Horizon More Chems patch into this one, so uninstall it before using this. Any body enhancer chems you've crafted probably/may not work anymore so just make sure you don't have any in your inventory/stored before you install this patch. The newly added chems can be crafted in the chem lab under Body Enhancers.

Alcohol:

I always hated how you have to chug back a whole bottle of booze to get the effects from it. I did that once a long time ago and I missed my first mortgage appointment, puking on the floor of my parents basement. So--

Drinking Rum, Whiskey, Bourbon, Vodka and Wine now returns a bottle that is 2/3 full...
...Drinking a 2/3 full bottle returns a bottle that is 1/3 full....
...Drinking that 1/3 bottle gives you back an empty bottle!

Simple! So ya--you'll get some more uses out of alcohol. But, that's fine with me...I don't think its really going to be anything game changing.

The emptier the bottle, the less it will weigh and the less it will be worth.

Prewar Food:

I wanted more of a use out of Prewar Food. There's a lot of it. Everywhere. Growing up as a kid I remember collecting wrestling stickers out of chip bags. And Alf. Remember Alf? Toys were a big selling point for what a chose to buy! So I figure the world of Fallout should be no different. You'll have to decide if taking some rads or getting a disease is worth the risk of getting something valuable!

-Bubblegum contains comics you can sell for caps, but a lot of them didn't survive their time in the wasteland.

-Gum Drops and Sugar Bombs contain a free toy! Some are worthless but there's a few nice ones you can find.

-Horizon added two new recipes containing Prewar Food--Purified Prewar Omelette and Purified Salisbury Dinner. You can now craft better versions of these meals, but its hidden in a secret recipe! Its in 3 parts so you'll have to go digging in some prewar food to find it. Once you have all 3 parts the recipes will be craftable in the Exotic Meals menu of the Cooking Workbench.

Note if you use Desolation: Desolation mode gets rid of these prewar recipes, but that's ok, at least this way you'll have a way to add it back into your game!

-Some companies collaborated in a contest that offered a large cash reward to anyone who could collect all 20 bobbleheads found in various meals. Luckily, the robots running the contest are still functioning so you can still turn in the bobbleheads for a 2500 cap prize! The menu for turning in the bobbleheads can be found in the Tech Lab.

-All prewar food now gives an empty junk item in return--similar to Horizon's bottle return effect. I've added some of these to junk level lists.

-All prewar food items have been brought in line with Horizon's Desolation addon. They now have a high risk for disease and have lowered value. (You don't need to use Desolation with this patch though)

Chems:

-You can now craft some of the chems that you couldn't before--Med-X, Daytripper, Psychotats, Buffout, Xcell, Daddy-O and Calmex.

-Jet, Psycho and Mentats now require Chemist rank 1 instead of Chemist Rank 2 and they require SLIGHTLY more resources. Some of the newly added crafting recipes require Chemist rank 2 and 3, so you still have a reason to get these ranks for crafting purposes.

-All chems and meds now give you an empty junk item in return--similar to Horizon's bottle return effect. I've added these to some junk level lists.

-Empty junk chems and meds can be scrapped. Alternatively, they can be used to create Chemical Residue. This is done in the chem lab under Chemical Residue Extraction. To make sure things stay uncluttered, the menu wont appear unless you are carrying any empty chems or meds with you.

Chemical residue gets the component tag in your inventory, but its not an "actual" component...meaning you'll need to have it in your actual inventory to craft something. Its weightless so keeping it on you shouldn't be an issue. I could have added to Horizon's list of components but I don't want to go mucking about and mess something important up.

Chemical Residue can be used to craft pharmaceuticals and explosive material. The menu can be found in the Ingredients section of the Chem Lab. Extracting residue can take some ranks of chemistry, depending on the type of drug or med. I mainly added Chemical Residue to give all the extra junk items your going to collect more of a purpose.

Pharmaceutical recipes requiring Chemical Residue are made to be in line with Desolation mode's Pharmaceutical recipe changes....so using Desolation mode wont make these recipes seem easier to craft. (You don't need to use Desolation with this patch though!)

Other Changes:

-You can now craft Nuke Mines and Nuka Grenades!

-Squirrel stew now gives a bonus of 15% experience instead of 2%. (2% is just pointless.)

-This patch edits some level lists containing junk items but I don't imagine it would conflict with much. If you have any concern take a peek in foedit to check for conflicts, or just put my patch before the one your worried about! My patch adds only junk items, so my level lists should get last priority.

I'm totally open to make changes if something doesnt seem right or if something should be added!

Chem Addon:

-This is included in my Chems Changes file, but I also made a standalone version of it found in the optional section of the downloads.

This adds a few new chems to Horizon. They are found in the new "Body Enhancing Chems" menu of the Chem Lab. They require chemist rank 1 to craft and require several components to craft. I plan on adding more, but I find these are pretty fun and wanted to share....so I'll just update this as I go.
They do not have any unique looks, and share the same visuals as the other chems.

They are not addictive but they will give you a substantial amount of rads, so you can't abuse them.

So far this adds 4 new chems:

Jack Rabbit: Increased jump height 30 seconds.

Blitz: Increased speed for 30 seconds.

Freefall: Immunity to fall damage for 30 seconds.

Nuclear Lung: Breathe under water for 2 1/2 minutes.
