Years later, but I just installed this mod, and the detect "life" portion works great. It's subtle, especially during the day or in bright areas, but it's still handy to track people, robots, and everything else through walls and obstacles.
Okay, so I took magic mentats for the very first time, but instead of an hour, the effect has so far lasted for a full 24 in-game hours. Is there any way to make it stop? I'm assuming that like other mods of this sort, that uninstalling will just make the effect permanent? (Meanwhile, I'll see if I can console my way free.)
drhamm, sorry if it's not working as you wished, I will have to review this mod and make some adjustments(it's quite old now).
I will need to make a way to dispel it eventually with a keyword or toggle it if you ingest it again. For that I will need to use some extra scripting as I am only using an altered version of the magic effect already existing in the game.
Oh, man, this was totally my bad, not yours, and I apologize, and I am embarrassed. I put on your "detect life" glasses, and my excuse is that was on so much pain medication (for a spine injury) that I forgot that I had them on.
(I also spent an entire evening once trying to fix blurred vision only to realize I had done the same thing with night vision goggles. People think being on long-term pain meds sounds like fun, but it REALLY isn't.)
I'm just gonna sit over here in the corner with my dunce cap on for a while.
And now that I've read your sticky, I feel bad for even bothering you about it. Hope you're well soon, or if it's something you don't get "well" from (I know what that's like), that you at least feel better than you did before.
Glad you found a solution. There's been a long time ( there was no CK and the tools available where just FO4Edit and it was a shot in the dark to make it) since I made this mod. I know it still works because I am using it still, I have made a lot of changes to it but need to polish it to be more actual before I publish those alterations.
About pain killers I know what you mean cause I have been on those for almost 3 years and that is one of the reasons why I can do much about modding but still I persist and try my best.
I just wanted to say thank you. I prefer to play a mostly unarmored stealthy character with a big 'ol sniper rifle. It was your mod that allowed me to do that, and play and enjoy the game the way I like to play. Thank you.
Anyone else not being able to aim in first-person without a scope or VATS? I like to use iron sights and reflex sights in close quarters so a workaround or visible glowing sights would be helpful.
I can't provide a version with those changes, that would mean changing the UI Interface (the flash swf) and eventually the meshes. If you go invisible all goes invisible.
Hey! This looks like a really cool mod. Any chance of adding a body detector? I can never find all those bodies I leave in the grass after an intense gunfight (vision impairment)

I deeply apologize for not being able to update my mods. I have been quite sick to a point where it is very hard to use the computer.
Thank you for all who supported my work and I hope to return to participate more ASAP
