I set the thrust at 235 after many hours of trying values above and below that value. I chose that value because as much as 5 points below that (230 or less) and I could not react quickly enough when coming down to keep from hitting the ground over and over again. Values above 240 caused me to slingshot up. (TOO INTENSE) You can change that value in your game in a couple of ways.
(1.) Use FO4Edit and edit the fJetpackThrustInitial game setting. You'll have to edit the .esp version or either rename the .esl to .esp before using FO4Edit. I can't get it load .esl files unless they're renamed. After editing just rename it back to .esl if you did it that way. If you use the .esp then there's no need to rename.
The Other Way To Change The Setting...
(2.) If you don't have one already, create an "autoexec.txt" file (a plain text file made with notepad) and put in it the statement (without the quotes): "setgs fJetpackThrustInitial 235" and save it to your \Fallout 4\ directory. (the Game directory) Not the \data\ directory.
OF COURSE you must change the 235 to whatever you want to try. (230, 225, etc)
Fall damage.. really? Lol this mod is dope. Endorsed. But dang. I remember the moon jump ring wouldn’t give you fall damage as long as you landed on the same elevation you jumped from.. this one’s probably too old to mess with now. loads of fun either way! thank you for your modding skills
Some mods can be paired with this! I've found it pretty fun to mix other mods in with this one. I throw on the pair of wings and use either the 90% fall damage resistance or no fall damage at all mod. Although kinda wanna be careful cause some mods do cause weird things to happen or have mod conflicts.
This MOD is as amazing as it is fun and useful, thanks for making it! For some reason though, it won't work while i'm in Power Armor. Would anyone have any idea why that might be? It works great otherwise. I'm playing the VR version of Fallout 4 if it makes any difference (I tried using the controllers and spacebar, neither of which work in PA, both of which DO work outside of PA).
Just wanted to say that this is about the most fun mod I have in my collection. And also one of two I always use in FO4. The other being "point, click, die". Thanks for making life wonderful. At least in a game anyhow.
If I could make a suggestion, maybe you could lower the jetpack thrust values even more, to make the lift slower. When I have this ring on it takes me a two seconds to fly well above the Prydwen, and that seems a little... intense... Other than that, its a fun mod. Thanks!
I'm guessing based on what's in my data directory: "ccBGSFO4001-PipBoy(Black) - Textures.ba2" That's a creation club texture. I don't know for sure. I don't remember changing the screen from green to black. It was a long time ago. I've searched my textures directory and there are no pipboy textures there so it must be coming from an archived source. Sorry I can't be more helpful. The pipboy is more of an afterthought for me. "Fallout 4 Color Map" (mod # 3698) is in my pipboy. I don't know if it provides the black texture or not.
HUDFramework and a complimentary mod that puts the bars on the left side of my screen. I can't remember which one it is right now, but if I can figure it out i'll update this reply with the name.

Thanks again!
There are so many that CAN work with power armour though.
