Hi there, some poeple seems to have trouble maing the armor invisible ; the last version should work, but I can't be sure.

If you encounter that problem, try to use the no archive veresion, it comes with uncompressed files, but it doesn't really change the mod size.

    Big update incomming

Version 1.1 is on the tracks, this update wil bring many new features :

    - fixed some meshes and textures :
There will probably still some problems here and there, I had just few feedbacks about it.
    - Color Swap for Visor :
Many choices of colors and reflexions for the visors. However, it's notcompatibles with transparent ones since the textures are directly included in the mesh, so, not alterable ingame.
    - Black color for the outfit :
Simple retexture of the suit that imitate another texture mod for Fallout NV.
    - Devices :
Now, the cloaking device is just one option amongst others, there are diverse kits for diferent gameplays :
         - Experimental cloaking : most efficient than the simple one, but more effective, increase your sneak attacks, increase your agility and movement speed ; however, the device is experimental, and a bit radioactive...
        - Skirmisher kit : This kit favors high mobility in combat, allowing you to move faster, deflect damages when moving and make you invisible when sprinting to disorient your foes, allowing you to relocate fast and harass them with deadly strikes.
         - Shocktrooper kit : For a more frontal approach, the shocktrooper kit allows you to move a bit faster, especially while aiming, the cloak activates when moving, making you harder to hit.

For those who wants to test this update, the beta is already available on my Patreon, your opinions about it are welcome !

This looks great but it would be a lot better if there were a set of instructions for how you customize the armor once you find it. I only had the mod and the requirements for it running and I still had to use FO4edit. If you want to attach a quest to an armor mod I suggest you make it as informative as possible and make sure any clues or prompts are locked down. I looked everywhere for the note and I could not find it. I could only imagine how much of a pain it would be to hunt for the alloy. a starting point on a map wouldn't have hurt. This kind of structure is what gets your work torn apart and put back together on other sites.

Hi, this is a really great armor mod and it's has the most amount of detail I have ever seen.It also looks great with the CROSS jetpack mod. The only problem I have with this mod is that I am in a great struggle to find chinese alloy and I have looked at military checkpoints and government areas but still too little. But it would be cool if you could integrate the chinese alloy to merchants and traders but to not make it OP it should be a high price like 150 caps for 1 alloy.I play Fallout 4 on XBOX but if I had a PC I would not be asking this.Keep up the good work with mods!

Check the Coast Guard station, with all of the Super Mutants.

There's some Chinese alloy in that chest on the roof.

      Also, try West Roxbury Station.

Personally, I found nearly enough Chinese alloy to complete the whole suit in Cambridge Polymer Labs. Only need one extra unit of the alloy.

In the armor workbench menu, all of the pieces except "Armor" and helmet are labeled as "Combat Armor."

Additionally, the piece that just covers the upper chest has some problems at the armor workbench:

In the section where you select Light, Medium, or Heavy, it has:
    Light Armor
    Light Armor
    Medium Armor
    Heavy Armor
    Heavy Armor
    Medium Armor

For the Misc section, it has no "No Misc" option, so if you apply an upgrade you can never remove it, unless you replace it with another upgrade.

    Edited to add:

The inclusion of an item called "Chinese Stealth Armor" is a bit confusing. I thought the whole set was the Chinese Stealth Armor?

I checked for conflicts in FO4Edit, but the only had to do with objects placed in the World space by your mod, and it was nothing major.

Edited to add: I think I figured out a solution to the issue with the pieces being named "Combat Armor":

I went into FO4Edit and made an override that removes the keyword "dh_armor_Combat [KYWD:00237E56]" from the chest piece, left arm, left leg, right arm, and right leg. That fixed the arms and legs, but the chest piece was still "Combat Armor."

So, I went back in and removed "ma_armor_Combat_Torso [KYWD:00121FB]."

That fixed the name, but it removes the "Misc" upgrade option.

However, it fixed the redundant armor sizes.

I managed to find the legs, arms, and torso in Cambridge Polymer Labs, but I'm unable to find the helmet.

Am I looking in the right place?

    Edited to add:

Nevermind. I cheated, and hot the location of the armor and helmet from FO4Edit. Heh heh

I went to the location at Fort Hagen, but there is no note.

    What gives?

It can be due to some reasons : the havok engine that made it fall and dropped somewhere nearby, an axplosion that made something similar, or another mod that alrady alter this zone and has priority ; there's no cure for the first ones, but for the last, just change your load order to give the CSA more priority.

You mentioned a second location in the description, the Sentinel Site.

Should it contain everything that I should have found in the ruined house by the Fort Hagen Red Rocket?

      I apologise.

My dumb ass downloaded the Chinese Stealth Suit by DogtoothCG Unoctium.

Between looking for the mod on my phone, and going to the mod page on my PC, I didn't pay close enough attention to the name of the mod.

Because I was mostly looking at the mod page on my phone I wasn't paying attention to the mod page on my PC.

      I feel like a moron.

The armor and helmet near fort hagen are misc items and cannot be repaired. There is also no recipie for them in the chem station. How am I supposed to repair this?

You'll need to repair it at a AWKCR's workbench, that's why it's in the requirements ;)

Was looking for a good Chinese Stealth Suit armor mod. Originally found unoctium's. Looked really good, and has a lot of really cool upgrade features, but take one trip to the Posts section an well... It's basically covered in bug complaints as well as complaints about features that really should have been included.

Then I found your mod and it was like everything I would have hoped:
-Integrated seamlessly into the world via unmarked quest
-Separation of the suit from other pieces allowing for much greater mix-and-match customization within itself and with other armors
-Multiple physical styles (Light, medium, heavy), even including the helmet
-Multiple camo patterns that look excellent

It's also great to see your future plans, IE different stealth activation modes and visor colors (Man can't wait for that). The only thing on my wishlist now would be to add armor weave support for the undersuit if nothing else.

EDIT: Scratch that, Krakmonkey has us covered on the armor mod front:
    https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/29278

Might be worth linking that mod in a sticky, or at least until you integrate that into the mod itself if you so choose. Otherwise can't wait for the planned updates.

Hey, I saw in your "coming soon" different colors for visor? That would be awesome, like a black version and a bit more transparent.
Amazing work man, great mod, you're probably already working on a lot of stuff but I just want to thank you, you're an awesome dude, and now here's my wish list :)

    - Ballistic Weave
    - Helmet mods (same as Power Armor)
    - Helmet visor transparency options
    - Armor mods (pocketed etc.)
    - Glove mods

I'm pretty sure if you make it compatible with armor smith extended you can mod any item.

    Good luck man!

Hi there, thanks for your appreciation ^^

Sadly, I can't change the transparency settings such as the colors and opacity since the transparency settings are directly included into the meshes ; it means that to each version of visor color with transparency, I'll need to make a new mesh, which also mean a new bodyslide file for the cbbe user. I've included something like eight colors to the visor ; sorry, but I don't think such a thing is feasible.

For the Ballistic Weave, I don't want to include it for balancing and immersion reason (it's used to be a stealth outfit, not a frontal assault armor), but if you really want it, Krakmonkey001 made an additive mod Here.

Helmet and visor mods are planned, even if I tried to include it in previous versions, I don't know what's wrong, but each time I tried to make it compatible with vanilla mods, it messed up everything, so, I'll make custom mods which seems to work properly.
I don't think I'll make glove mods, I don't know what it can possibly provide I didn't already planned. The only think I've planned for the gloves is more detailed textures for a better fps view.

Basically, to make an outfit compatible with ASE, it just needs some additive keywords, that's pretty easy, but the only problem is that the slots needed for the mods can be redundant with those I'm currently working on, wait and see, the next update is still in beta ^^

      Derp XD Mispost.

I do gotta ask though, did you reduce the drop chance for the Chinese Alloy with the newer versions? I'm not finding it nearly as much as I used to. I already fixed the conflicts I was having with another mod that affected the steamer trunks and others, but I'm still finding lots of trunks with no alloy. Is it based on what level you are, or is the FO4 RNG just shafting me?

I did not changed it, but it's really random and you got a good chance of dropping 0 in non-army steamtrunks ; it's all about RnG ^^

Could you make the next version unscrappable? I feel like a tragedy could occur at any moment and they are supposed to be uniques :P awesome mod regardless

I don't know what it is, but the armor just won't show up in my game.
The nmm shows that it is installed.
ApalCSA - Main.ba2 and ApalCSA - textures.ba2 are in my data folder.

When I used the 'help chinese 4' command, it shows chinese therm optics booster and therm optics chinese chameleon, which I imagine are from the mod.
It also shows the base game chinese gear.

Before I updated to the latest version today, I was able to find the note, but when I went over to the blood bank, couldn't find anything in lockup.

Then I updated, and there is no note either.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.
