Hi all! New version is up, now with all the options. I got rid of Cait's outfit, the gloves were getting stuck on and sometimes making her hands disappear even lol. Oops!

As for the Bethesda update, I just can't do anything about that. It's de-activating all mods when using the Fallout4launcher. I've locked my steam into Offline mode for now so it won't update until I know for sure of a workaround. There are workarounds, I just don't have time to fiddle with em now. But it's not the Curie mod.

I've removed the "download With NMM" button because I think having all the versions in one RAR will really confuse the NMM and people. So just dl the RAR and drop it in manually, the whole thing is only 64kb surprisingly. There are workarounds for the new Bethesda update disabling mods. See the comments here, in the Forums, and Google for options. I'll be on again soon to see what's up. Enjoy friends!

Don't forget, when you upgrade or change versions to use the "recycleactor" command on her to reload her. This resets your relationship status, and she didn't even send you a text or breakup on fb... But use "setrelationshiprank player #" on her with # = 0-4.

She recycles nude too, sorry I tried everything lol. It's really annoying but just talk to her and get her to equip some clothes.

I also noticed as a commenter mentioned, that when any outfit is equipped on her, it becomes invisible in her inventory menu. This is weird and I have no idea why. It's still there, and will reappear when you equip something else on her. I just don't know if this is a full Bethesda bug or just a bug with how the mod is made with FO4edit. I'll be able to look into this and more when Bethesda releases the official modding tools sometime in 2016.

In case you missed the note in the Desc sections: the Synth eyes aren't perfect, they don't actually align perfectly in the human head, because they're supposed to go in the unique Synth head which is smaller. So they look sunken back a bit. :/ It's not always noticeable tho.

I forgot that I'd removed her red dress and glasses during testing! Will probably put those back in and mini-update. She looked cute in glasses.

Some free plugs here to other modders: her unique gun (and my other mod Alpha Railgun) work with the mod "Legendary Modifications" which allow you to add or subtract those legendary mods from things, like "Plasma Infused" or armor enchantments. I'm testing her with "Gloves of the Wasteland" to see how they play together, will notify on that soon.

Man, I really like your mod! But I have some questions. What program do you use to edit the esp, and how do you edit the appearance? Maybe you have some kind of tutorial? I'd be very pleased, if you shared it. thx

Hi Xkoot and anyone else wondering, I just used the program "FO4Edit" which is really just a modified version of an old program "TES5Edit" made for editing Skyrim. It's almost the only tool we have right now. See the last pics for this mod as an example.

With this program, you load the main Fallout.esp or any .esp really, and then the real work begins. You gotta figure out and find the stuff you want to edit. Then it has to be added into a new record to make a new .esp when you're done.

Not alot can really be done, but some things can be changed with enough trial and error. All I did for Curie was: there's a section for each actor that has all the stuff for the head, like eye color, type of eye, type of head, hair style, each hairstyle has its' own forehead you gotta select too, hair color, and a couple other attributes. With some trial and error, I changed the hair style and the matching forehead for the hairstyle, hair color, and eye color. That's it as far as appearance.

As for the inventory, I just found the stuff in FO4Edit with a little trial and error, and added it to the new Curie's inventory in FO4Edit.

As for her unique items, that takes a little work to get right. You have to find what you want (like the Gauss Rifle) and add it as a new record into the new .esp you're working on. Then you can give it a custom name, change the damage, add effects, and simple stuff like that.

Then upon exiting FO4Edit, it can save what you've worked on into a new .esp file that should go into the /Data directory.

It sounds easy typed out like this, but there's a lot of learning to it. It took many days just teaching myself and making many disasters lol. Fortunately they're kinda easily fixed, but that's even more time. I don't really have any magical program that changes her appearance, it's just telling the game to select different existing resources to use.

If you look around here and Google you can probably learn much more about FO4Edit and it's parent TESVEdit than I could teach or explain.

Hahaa thanks! I did take note of some comments and agreed it needed some less cheated versions.

I'm not even done yet haha. I've finally figured out how to make a unique armored dress, so she'll have an awesome dress soon. It's really cool actually. Now if I can only make a unique recolor for it... a unique recolor that only loads onto that unique dress, not all gameworld dresses of that model...

And I accidentally removed the Red Dress and Eyeglasses during testing, putting those back in too.

And with some help I figured out how to have a particular vendor have her unique rifle and upcoming dress available for sale!

Great mod & fyi the 'worn outfits goes invisible in inventory' is a Bethesda thing and the games does that to all NPCs like settlers and companions.

You mentioned that you couldn't get Curie to hack or lockpick, even after you added the perk - she still claims that she can't do it. I've got it working:

in the KWDA Keywords section near the bottom, add Followers_Command_LockPick_Allowed [KYWD:000F4B91]. Now she can lockpick, but you also need to provide her with the bobby pins to do so, just like Cait.

Hacking is in the same area of the list; Followers_Command_HackTerminal_Allowed [KYWD:001760E4].

I've been toying with adding lockpick and hacking perks, but the best I can get her to do is expert locks and terminals. She will still claim that she can't do it no matter what, but then she runs over to the lock/terminal and starts working. I have not gotten her to successfully pick a master lock (so far they always immediately break her bobby pin, and she says in the lockpick animation until you give her another command).

Either this mod is no longer viable, or installing it while "Unique Followers" is installed breaks it. Curie is the same, no weapon (but it can be found with console fetch commands), and her eyes are as plain as ever.

I love this mod and want to thank you for it. I also endorsed it. However, I have a question. I do find that she talks a lot. I mean, A LOT. I customized Curie's default looks before installing 1b and will continue with her as my main follower. I cannot, though, find a way to reduce her chatter. Do you know if there is any way I can manually change the mood back to normal? I don't want her silent, just not repeating everything non stop. Otherwise great mod and thank you so much.

Mkay, so I've done everything you've instructed for the install, problem is curie is still a white robot, I set the relationship value to 4 after a recycleactor command and no humanoid curie yet.

UPDATE: yep, youtube confirms, you have to progress with the character through a dialogue sequence which will take you through a part of the story I haven't seen yet. lol

UPDATE 2: if you want to accelerate things try setstage 0016454e 1 in the console, after you have completed the "Dangerous Minds" Quest and have set Curie's relationship level to 4. Technically this is cheating, but if you ain't got no time for that, work this method.

Hi jdb1776, Just a heads up. If you give Piper or Cait an outfit to wear and make them equip it, the outfit they were wearing becomes visible and the outfit you just gave them becomes invisible. It's not your mod, it's a Bethesda thing. It is actually quite annoying. To view the stats on a companion's outfit you have to give them something else. Another Bethesda mystery.

I believe they do it so you can't make NPCs walk around "naked."

I totally LOVE your version of Curie and I think that it's the best one by far especially with the Synth eyes. But I have a request, would it be possible for you to do a version of her with a longer/bigger ponytail similar to the type offered in Azar Ponytail Hairstyles (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8126/?)?

I made a very large compilation a couple weeks ago. It was to large for the forum so it got chopped in half. I fixed it and have re-released the "Ultimate Fallout 4 Compilation". There are a number of your mods promoted in this list and this one is staying up. Let me know what you think
