I can't seem to get it to work. I've installed it with NMM but dogmeat still looks the same

  Sorry for late answer, did you tried use ArchiveInvalidation ? Often problems like that are solved with it. Have a nice day !

Hey thanks for the mod, i don't get the sounds to work, could it be that other mods to make dogmeat less annoying be interfering with the sounds??
