For all the people that as me dont get this mod to work, just do the following.....
Go to my documents/My games/fallout 4 vr , edit the file "fallout4custom.ini"
Under display add the line bUsePreCulledObjects=0
Only tested in the start area of Nuka World, but it works fine there. (this has nothing to do with mod btw) this only fix the missing ground textures.
Edit: If what i read is true, the above method is performance heavy. There is better ways to achive this but it includes having fo4 flat version and replacing the fallout4.esm + all dlc's, and using community fixes and pre combines latest versions. And be sure to NOT have community keywords installed or you will ctd alot. Can confirm this works very well.
Edit 2: The above fixes worked well on Nuka world, but i still had missing ground textures in Far Harbor. Turns out all you have to do to fix both dlc's are to put this mod at or towards the end of your loadorder. You live and learn i guess :)
Unfortunately this mod does absolutely nothing. And yes I'm quite familiar with how to use Vortex, how to mod games, hell I have like 200 mods on Skyrim VR. This is literally the first and only mod I installed for Fallout 4, and it literally does nothing. Fixes no textures, addresse no CTDs.
Edit: I reinstalled the whole game, no dice. Then on a whim (it's the holidays, I had time to kill) I tried installing it on my C drive, and NOW the mod works. Not sure what it was about the F drive that the mod didn't like, but there ya go.
To the VR locals, a quick fix to correct the CTD issues in worldspace.
Remove the entire Worldspace block from the plugin in FO4Edit, the only actual changes were landscape related and not only does such a change break precombines, a good percentage of the headers included in the DLC got mangled by the Creation Kit due to a known bug with it. Doing that and with or without PRP installed should make for a more stable game.
Edit: For those that want to investigate the issue themselves, Run Check for Errors on the plugin and look for XCRI/XPRI related issues. 01xxxxxx numbered records are a tell tale sign of the masters getting ripped out of a plugin. If there's still legitimate landscape holes (I'm aware of a few), I'm going to have to try and patch them in PRP somehow.
Nov 2023 Edit: If someone is getting the Dry Rock Gulch crash with just PRP and the DLCVR Fix meshes/textures (a dummy plugin would be enough to load them), could someone send me a crash log?
Maybe I’m reading this wrong but most of the point of this mod is to restore missing ground textures/meshes, removing the worldspace block then causes the landscape to be missing again , am I missing something in your description?
The landscape for Nuka-World is there now but now all of the shadows have been disabled , was wondering if anyone else has this issue and a possible fix, I know the mod author probably won’t reply so I’m also addressing the community on here. Also Hubologist continued to crash so I found a workaround fix that seems to work , though not ideal, it will stop the crash , in the CK just assign all hubologist’s a different outfit, I went with radiation suits but it can be anything but the default hubologist outfits
Have someone sorted out the issue with hubologist camp crash?
I have completed almost all quests in vr version including dlcs, but game crashes every time I get close to hubologist camp and junkyard in nuka world :( I was able to clear junkyard but textures were not showing correctly and now when I try to get back there, I am getting ctd.
I have tried optimization project, have tried this mod, have tried them both at once, have tried to extract contents of this mod via bsa editor of this mod and paste it to data folder (for some reason it fixed some missing textures).
Would it be possible to have just the game fixes as a separate download without all the mesh and texture edits? I'm trying to use this with the PRP and they refuse to cooperate no matter what order I put them in. Placing it before PRP cause the game to crash, placing it after overwrites PRP and breaks the precombines. The main issue I have is the CTD at Dry Rock Gulch.
Exiting the bathroom where the toolbox with the holotape "for deke" results in a ctd 100% of the time for me. Any chance this mod can be updated to include a fix?
Downloaded the NWFH mod, copied to the FO4VR Data file, still crashes as soon as i use the thirst zapper for the first time. have rebooted several times. checked the install no idea. anyone help?
