Update 1.02: Added a menu for setting the water performance on the water column. The menu opens when you activate the water filter in inventory while sitting or stealth. Removed the message of receiving items at workbenches, except for active companions.
Hello, thank for this mod I use from a long time. It is possible to limit the number of water the pump container can contain? Like 5 or 6. Or apply just to player, because each time npc use them I can finish with 250 waters in it.
Made changes to the speed of water production. With regard to the previous speed, it can be reduced in steps up to 40 times. To access the menu, you must craft and use the Water Filter in your inventory while sitting on a chair or in stealth mode.
Woooow really nice mod. Love it. It is however ridiculously overpowered. These are the changes I would make.
To make the filter I would add antiseptics as well as some cloth maybe RadAway. Currently it is too simple to make a filter. And the second part I would change is this. I would make it so the player would have to provide the cans/bottles. Preston made in 5 minutes 100 purified waters essentially a 2k worth of water. That painfully breaks the game IMHO. Also I would make the settlers creating stuff totally optional on survival playthrough where I have to save every stimpack every piece of food and every round and sudenly I come home and 3 stimpacks from this guy rounds from every direction it breaks the games difficulty and makes it easy. This is totally a person by person preference.
Awesome job!!! looking forward to what you come up with next! Endorsed and tracking.
Thanks for the suggestions, they are very thoughtful. Excess water really breaks the game survival. The only justification for this is that, many years after the catastrophe, the water becomes pure everywhere. In order not to enter settings, I will probably make a version for survival with very limited extraction of water.
I agree with the concept with a caveat; NPCs should get dirty water from pumps and convert it but get purified water from purifiers. It's in the name, for the love of God. If the settlement was open water they should just get water, period. I'd say small ponds provide 10 water, large ones 30 water, rivers 999 because it's the flipping river.
First of all, thanks for sharing your mods, they are so well done, polite, fun and useful.
I would like to tweak this mod, for personal use only, if you don't mind. I could do in Creation Kit, and I could recompile scripts, but I'm not sure where and what to do, in a neat way. My skills are not high enough, yet. If you were so kind as to point me how to do. (If, else, endif, Currentcompanionfaction?)
I would like that workbenches only produce components, when the npc that plays animation in them, be the active companions, not settlers or anybody else. Is possible?
Of course, do as you need. To edit produced items, change the contents of the formalists. Remove all unnecessary and add what you need to produce, for example, components. To limit production to active partners only, set the condition GetPlayerTeammate == 1 in the workshop script when sending a signal to the quest. For all questions, write here or in your personal mail, of your choice.
Could you maybe add an option to decide how much stuff settlers make, im getting pretty full of all the stuff they are making and cant tell them to stop. Great work another great mod thank you.
Do you need: - adjustment of the number of things produced; - that NPCs used the workshops less often; - so that you can disable and enable the use of workshops; - so that no messages are output. You can mark the workshops with the help of mod Furniture Owner and no one can use them, except for hired companions until you again allow it.
Well, it would be great to be able to set the amount they make then they stop until you choose to give them the job again. Not an individual goal just a general goal, so say i set it to 10 mini nuke, 100 bullets etc then when that limit is reached they stop until you choose a new order or amount.
It would also be nice if you add some mod settings so you can do what you have listed there and i would love to see that option. my biggest problem is walking into Diamond city and the messages com up everywhere, besides why is a doctor crafting mini nukes instead of meds lol. other than that its a great mod

To update, just replace the mod files.
I use only the mesh replacer with this mod

Thank you for your effort in making this mod!
