If you test it out, please update us on your experience.
I just came back to modding after a 7 year hiatus so I am getting caught up on everything. I have not even begun to look at Fallout London yet so I am a ways out from looking into compatibility for that one.
Since the mod updated none of my preexisting settlements are getting electricity anymore 😢I don’t know what happened the mod updates in the mod list (I’m on Xbox series X) and I have SEO at the bottom of my load order but my fuse boxes are all gone that I had prior to the update and I have no power anymore ahhhh please help!
If you are using an existing save with the updated SEO mod, it will not work (from my experience) This is for the Xbox Series X version here for me. Start a fresh game and the power boxes will be back.
Also, I was able to use an existing save from right before I left the vault and it worked, so I did not have to start an entirely new game form scratch. I thing I did not try tho, it to disable all mods, then load the save (if it will without getting save game being corrupted), then when back in the fallout world, save the game (do a new save) without any mods enabled. Then re-enable all of the mods restart the game,, load that new save and then see if that works.
After 7 years, I am back and in the process of rebuilding this mod from scratch. The current version for the base game should be good to go.
I am beginning to work on the DLC version. There will be a "beta" version of the DLC one in the Files category soon. This you can use and provide feedback on what DLC items need adjusting, got missed, or have issues, etc.
question, since I'm confused rn: If I have all DLC and expansions, do I need to have both the main file and also the optional file or only the optional file? judging by file sizes I would assume only the optional "patch", but the fact that it is labelled a patch makes me feel like it's both I need to install & load.
i am not sure if you'll answer or what but just want to say nice mod though really helps though i guess the only thing i noticed is how you still need the power conduits despite having to have the wireless fusebox for the street lights ( idk if i am doing something wrong here or what ) but great mod mate
The only things I've noticed is that a lot of things I didn't need a power line for now I need one, like the settlement management computer. That's really not that big of a deal but the mod makes it so that a power cable cannot attach to the decontamination arches. There is no option to even attach a wire anymore. If I string up the arches before installing the mod they still work after the mod is installed but, once installed it is no longer possible to attach wires to new arches. Also, if you uninstall the mod in order to wire up an arch and then reinstall, it creates unattached script instances that are not re-attached when the game starts back up. If you are in this situation and you use a save cleaner to clean the unattached instances, make sure that you save in a place that you haven't used the fuse box from this mod. If you don't, your game may ctd trying to load. I've found that the root seller in Sanctuary works.
Edit: I have experimented and found that it is the DLC patch that nerfs the arches. The SEO base game does not.
Just a suggestion — it would be dope if the connectors that generate power were in addition to regular connectors instead of replacing them. That would give us the option of using standard connectors between a switch and whatever it’s powering. Ex. having a power switch in a control room and using regular connectors to connect it to a whole factory. Currently not possible since the connecters just keep the machines constantly powered. NBD just a thought. Awesome mod, seriously improves settlement building!
This seems to break the vault 88 quest "A Model Citizen".
There seems to be no way to power the radio beacon, after building the overseer desk.
It's likely that the beacon is scripted to be disabled until certain quest events are completed, but now cannot be enabled to be powered on. Tried it with all available connectors, switches and even conduits.
Objects that dont require direct connections like llight bulbs work perfectly fine but objects like terminals or the Recruitment radio beacon still do need a cable to work.
I dont what happened, but i cant find any fuse boxes anymore in my settlements... Ive re installed the old version, when i got to place one the game crashes...
Unfortunately, anything i build from the contraptions DLC still requires power, despite having the fuse box. Terminals and conveyers aren't getting powered wirelessly. I'm currently on PS4.
