I had Winter with me for a long time, a while back in my playthroughs. Until I realized that her combat rifle was causing problems with my game. It took me a while to figure out, as I carry lots of companions. Wastelander Barb's "Advanced Ported 10mm" does the same thing... as it turns out. Touch either her 10mm or Winter's combat rifle with a mouse pointer at a weapons workbench and the game crashes to desktop instantly. Not trying to mod the thing, just passing it with the mouse. When I had this trouble before, it had created the same result trying to mod and sometimes even pick up any combat rifle in the game... crash. Like December's Child in Far Harbor. Barb's 10mm was a little bit different...in its' own way... up to the crash. Every 10mm pistol I'd find would be "advanced and ported". When I saw the update for this mod I jumped on it, hoping the rifle issue was fixed. Sorry to see, sorry to say it isn't. Moreover, the very first combat rifle I picked off a body after installing this update for Winter is also suppressed. None of Matilda's special weapons have done this. Nor have any of your other wonderful companion mods had this "phenomally" (coined word).

Thanks for your response. As an aside... I went into CK and disabled the "player version" of Winter's rifle and the conflict is gone. I also, in kind made Wastelander Barb's 10mm Machine pistol "non playable" (that mod didn't have the extra entry). That too, fixed that mod...seems to have. I like Winter a lot. One of my favorites. Great work, sir... A bit later on... a gun fix would be cool. (hope you're not offended by my edit attempt). I'm just glad it works. For me, it's fine that she has her own weapon. I'll grab all of it if I can, if you know what I mean; but that doesn't mean I have to have it all either. I rarely adopt and play the companions' weapons. Well, except for Matilda's knife. Oh man.
You can give her anything from vanilla game, clothes mods and such. All you need to do is Trade, put the desired outfit in her inventory then equipping it.
One of the freekin hotest companions. I love her fair skin and dark hair. I got her all slooted up. Now if she would only stay at a settlement when i dismiss her and not go back to her shack at vault 111.
