Thanks for the support everyone and please continue to report bugs - I'll be working tirelessly to eliminate them all and make this a smooth gameplay experience - we can and will have automated settlement building!

We're still working on the wiki pages if you prefer to read things, but for those of you who like video guides, the in-depth series is up and will show you how all of the systems work in Rise of the Commonwealth:

If you're not able to activate the City Plan on the desk, be sure you are on version 3.0 of Sim Settlements. Any desks built before the 3.0 patch will need to be picked up and set back down in order to create the updated items.

You'll know if it worked because you'll have a safe on the desk just above the file cabinet drawer.

It's become clear to me that I can't be a one man army on the support front, I had kept up with it until about October of last year, but now things have grown to the point where I need regular help. If you receive a response from damanding or kalimac, they are helping me out to keep up with everything to ensure everyone gets there questions answered and bug reports added to my fix list.

I will still try and pop in periodically to respond to some things personally, but balancing my time between fatherhood, my job, and continuing to develop the mod has become close to impossible without help - hope everyone understands!

Patch 4.0.1 is now available, this shaves off some unnecessary models to reduce the overall file size.

Tiny Tenpines was leader of Tenpines Bluff, she died but I resurrected her (using said command), but she no longer shows up as a possible leader for Tenpines Bluff. Is there any way to re-enable her?

Could I have the ref ID for the City Planner's Desk? It works everywhere but the Mechanist's Lair; there's no furniture option under the Sim Settlement menu like there are in the other settlements. So, I tried building one in Boston Airport and moveto commands to get it in the Lair, but it still registers as the Boston Airport desk, even though it's not there anymore. The desk isn't in the normal furniture option outside of the Sim Settlement menu, either. It's just not there to be built in the lair. So, I need the ref ID for it, so that way I can use placeatme instead. I don't know what else to do.

Try city refresh from city planners desk.

try rebuild local data from Tools>Config tools in city holotape.

Also try increase buil limit from the city holotape tools menu

which city plans arnt building? rotc ones or ones from the contest or other source?
you may need to do a manual install https://simsettlements.com/web/wiki/index.php?title=Install

Hey dude, so certain Settlements now won´t build, upgrade or do anything i assign them to.
The Settlers of course will auto assign Settler Leaders and they will build all the startup structures but the 0% lvl 0 will never change regardless of how much stuff i donate to the settlement. Tenpines Bluff for example upgrades and progresses but it will never upgrade the whole city. It will just stay at 100% and it will stay there.
Sanctuary however seems to work as intended. I would be happy for tips on how to fix this issue!
    Keep up the work

Try City Refresh from the city planners desk.

Try Rebuild Local data from the city holotape in the Tools>Config tools.

Make sure they still have leaders, some leaders can quit there jobs rarely.

you may have to knock it down and rebuild the city if those numbers arnt changing.

also, remove the "i also installed a settlement limits slashed mod for convinience." that you installed.
It could conflict with the built in one in this add-on.

Hey friend, i seem to have a problem with my Settlements.
When i started with Sanctuary evrything was going good, updates and buildings went up fast.
Tenbines Bluff also upgraded itself like intended.
Now any other Settlement that i have used this mod on just builds the foundations n plots but the Settlers never complete their homes or plots
Any help? keep up the good work

Well, I'm re-typing this. I just posted but it isn't showing up.

I'm curious, should there be more plans available for the beginning settlements? I'm only seeing 1 plan for Sanctuary, RR, Ten Pines, Abernathy Farm, and even Grey garden.
I thought that 18mo after release there'd be more building plans available.
    Am I wrong?

They actually come as addons, you can find them in their own category on Nexus here; Sim Settlements: City Plans.
62 files so far, many containing more than one city plan, like the City Plan Contest addon pack.

Beware, if you enable all of them you might run into the 64mb script limit and will get infinite load screen at the start menu. If you do, try again after removing some of them.

      Thanks for the reply.
I saw the contest and I was hyped to see what people can do. That and the fact I built a better PC has brought me back to SS.
I've seen the ones in the City Plans sections. Newer ones require I install Conquerer and I'm not ready for that yet, and the rest either require mods that add new settlement locations, add a tonne of mods I don't need, or industrialize everything.

Guess I'll use the ones provided for quite a few and hand build/manage the rest. I don't like overly complicated, or a massive mod load-out I have to tinker with for days to get working right. Eventually, I'll get to Conquerer as a Liberator, but that's a few months off.
Thanks again, Tinuvia. And a BIG THANKS to Kinggath & the rest of the Dev Team for this fantastic mod.

Only MrCruelJohn’s save file city plan pack and Space2jump’s should require Conqueror. The Simple settlements series doesn’t require Conqueror, it’s only extra useful for those players since it speeds up the start of Conqueror, and these “lighter” city plans won’t tax your system as much.

Hopefully more players will get on board and make more city plans. They do take time to make, but the +8.000 workshop assets included for builders in Sim Settlements means you can get away with almost no dependencies on other mods.

great mod! but as of recently ( even on new games) every time I try to assign a leader/accept a city plan/bypass settlement quest popup I get a CTD. trying to figure out why. wasn't having this issue till recently. I cant build any cities. still an amazing mod tho! should I load simsettlements before or after keywords? I have it loaded after settlement keywords atm

EDIT: updated main settlement mod and put HUDframework above it. works now

I just want to say your mod is amazing, building is what make me get tired of the game and your mod help me a lot to not giving up, thanks so much. Anyway i need to ask will they build bed and radio station to have more settler too or i have to do that, i'm sitting on sanctuary to watch the progress but looks like they are too busy to do that.

Thanks Kinggath and the team appriciate ur thanks

In a City plan they will build beds or plots by themselves and they will have a beacon in teh city plan as well.

You can turn off Charisma in teh city holotape if you want more settlers.

pathing seems to be a problem with ROTC city plans, especially in hangmans alley.
settlers are unable to reach their assigned plots.
i browsed the ss forums and this was brought up several times last year.

some users recommend this mod to fix navmeshes manually. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22322
others claim that ROTC city plans come their own navmeshes and should not be messed with.

are there currently "best practices" on how to minimize this issue?

i should also mention that im using horizon with sim settlements. horizon overhauls a lot, maybe thats an issue.
how do non-horizon users experience ROTC cities?

it seems to work pretty smooth when im placing my plots manually, but with the city plans settlers tend to be stuck most of the time.

City plans use blocks to help with navmesh like that mod ,but I wudnt go crazy with navmesh blocks ,they are meant to be use sparingly.

But navmesh been navmesh ,sometimes nothing can help :(

you can try Rebuild Local data for the config tools in the city holotape.

I don't use Horizon so no idea what changes it makes to navmeshing.

best way to test navmesh is order your companion to walk somewhere m if they get to where u want them navmesh is fine:) but settler AI can be……………………….
