Thanks for the support everyone and please continue to report bugs - I'll be working tirelessly to eliminate them all and make this a smooth gameplay experience - we can and will have automated settlement building!
We're still working on the wiki pages if you prefer to read things, but for those of you who like video guides, the in-depth series is up and will show you how all of the systems work in Rise of the Commonwealth:
If you're not able to activate the City Plan on the desk, be sure you are on version 3.0 of Sim Settlements. Any desks built before the 3.0 patch will need to be picked up and set back down in order to create the updated items.
You'll know if it worked because you'll have a safe on the desk just above the file cabinet drawer.
It's become clear to me that I can't be a one man army on the support front, I had kept up with it until about October of last year, but now things have grown to the point where I need regular help. If you receive a response from damanding or kalimac, they are helping me out to keep up with everything to ensure everyone gets there questions answered and bug reports added to my fix list.
I will still try and pop in periodically to respond to some things personally, but balancing my time between fatherhood, my job, and continuing to develop the mod has become close to impossible without help - hope everyone understands!
This mod is great (short-term). However, if you try building up multiple settlements with rise of the commonwealth city plans, over time your game will start crashing during any loading sequences during gameplay. This is not including triangle of death.
I have a powerful computer so I never have any crashing issues while in settlements that are fully developed to tier 3. It's only crashing when I'm fast traveling and or entering or exiting buildings/locations. The crashing gets worse and worse over time after multiple settlements are upgrading and expanding throughout my gameplay at random times.
I've tried every possible fix I could think of to resolve the crashing and I came up short but I do know it's this specific mod causing it. I believe the Bethesda engine just can't support a beautiful mod like this one. :(
This is something I really wanna try out but when I activate the mod, I get a CTD when the startmenu of the game pops up. I did check all requirements and I do not think I have missed to install anything. Any tips how to make it work for me? (I have not installed F4SE yet and I do use all different SE in both Oblivion, Skyrim and Starfield but I have not seen requirements for it yet, which I think is a bit odd) :D I use the 1.10.138 F4 patch, if that may be an issue?
You should update to SimSettlements2. SS1 may be fully finished one day, but not until After SS2 is finished. Then the SS1 story could be redone in SS2.
Hi, I really loved to play with SS and ROTC in the normal Fallout 4. I am now having Fallout 4 VR and I love it to play the game. All the other mods are working, except this mod. SS is working as well, but as soon as I add ROTC the game crashes without any error. Is there a workaround, or is this mod not compatible. I already realised that the Fallout 4 VR game version is 1.10.138.
I hope someone can help.
Best regards, and sorry for my grammar. English is not my native language^^
i have noticed a bug, everytime i delivr junk or food oritems to the city planner, either it takes too long time to process or it completely bugs out and can't hand in anymore items to it, it says your previous items is beeing processed, but the game is running and .. its bugged
I'm trying to assign the Vault Tec Rep to a trading post, but the game keeps instantly auto assigning him back to a security outpost even though I have auto assign turned off. What do I do?
i currently am using war for the commonwealth with my current play through. should i disable this before downloading sim settlements and sim settlements 2? Do i need to start a new game in order for sim settlements to work or will it work with an old save. i also have underground hideout installed, not sure if that would conflict in any way with this mod, thanks for your time.
