Private message me with the following filled out: --------------------------------------------------------------------- ConfigFile: FALLOUT4.INI or FALLOUT4PREFS.INI INI Setting: Default Value: New Value: Value Range: What it does: Verified it works: YES or NO --------------------------------------------------------------------- If you're missing too much info I can't include it.
It helps keep track of all of the ini tweaks you make, whilst keeping the default setting available if you want to revert. e.g. I have removed HUD visibility of the compass & enemy health bars, among other things.
When I run the executable, I get a pop up that the program can't find the install path and wants me to set it manually. What am I supposed to direct it to?
Same with me, it says it is trying to reach Sys32 which I myself couldn't find the file it wanted. Kinda sucks, I can not find my Fallout4VRCustom.ini so I can't change any [VRUI] settings. I really want to remove enemy healthbars/names. I was just barely able to change my movement to head-based through the command console.
Where on earth did you get the idea you have to turn VR on in this game? Like the other guy says, you must buy it. Then you can use this mod. That said it should have been just an add-on, but it isn't.
I notice there is "play game" at the bottom of this tool, AND that the updated .ini does not overwrite the original. As such, do you have to use the in-program "play game" for the altered settings to apply to F4 VR?
No, you don't have to use the in-program play game.
If your settings are not being updated, it sounds like the ini files this app is modifying aren't the ones your game is using. perhaps you have them in a custom location or used another application that manages your INI files...
Important to note that when I check the ini file manually, it's all there, so not causing me any problems - just the tool appears not to display the full string. Apologies if this has already been mentioned.
I vaguely remember that there was a reason why this was happening, but I can't remember the reason it wasn't addressed. If I get time I'll try to load this project up, but it seems like a non critical issue for the time being. Thanks for letting me know.
This is the ONLY utility that got me to finally get rid of most of the HUD in Fallout4 VR. DefUi doesn`t do it. My HUD doesn`t do it and Immersive HUD fails. It`s a bit more work, but it works and that`s what counts.
A very minor thing but; the description for fItemHoldDistantSpeed in the Workshop section is incorrect. It's not how far away an item can be to hold it, but how fast you push and pull it in the workshop.

Thank you bilago.
Fallout4VRCustom.ini was deprecated a few years back. You want it pointed to Fallout4Custom.ini

Fallout4 - Textures1.ba2, Fallout4 - Textures2.ba2, Fallout4 - Textures3.ba2, Fallout4 - Textures4.ba2, Fallout4 - Textures5.ba2, Fallout4 - Textures6.ba2, Fallout4 - Textures7.ba2, Fallout4 - Textures8.ba2, Fallout4 - Textures9.ba2, Phy1.ba2, Phy2.ba2, Phy3.ba2, Phy4.ba2, Phy5.ba2, Phy6.ba2
then re-open the file in the editor again, it has been truncated to:
