I'd guess convert the one in FLAC/CD version into the game format... Anyways it sounds a bit different, I noticed some details that I don't remember hearing in vanilla theme :D
It was actually a 320 kbps MP3 file from iTunes. This is the best available version of the song I could find. To put it into Fallout, I converted it to a WAV using Audacity. Then to retain quality by not using WAV to XWM converters, I renamed the file extension to a XWM so Fallout could read it. Apparently, WAV and XWM files use similar codecs and needed no conversion.
You needn't have even changed the extension. As I learned a long time ago from messing with songlists for Skyrim, it and Fallout 4 will work with .xwm and .wav formats, just not both in the same folder. Mixing them in one folder crashes the game.
Endorsed <3 this really does make the main music sound truly beautiful and I can hear instruments and such I could never hear in the original theme. Thank you so much for your amazing work on this ^.^
