Be careful, this mod is not updated to the latest version of the game. It is missing new scripts for Oculus and WMR.

Meaning what though? Could you elaborate please? I'm about to install, but would like to know what could happen if I do. Have you experienced anything that went wrong? I have Oculus Rift myself, if there's something wrong with this, wouldn't I notice it when I start a new game?

The UI buttons in dialogs will be for a different controllers. In the last patch, Bethesda added mapping for these two VR headsets. There should be nothing critical.

If you do not see buttons for Talk, Trade, Cancel, Stay then remove MultiActivateMenu.swf from the mod folder.

Perfect! Removing MultiActivateMenu.swf from the mod fixed the issues with followers for me, while keeping the mod active for all other dialogue :)

Has anybody here actually gotten this mod to work properly with the DLC patched strings from the non-vr full dialogue interface? Can you please share your updated version of this mod? Or can you at least teach me how to do it? I can't really understand the guide linked somewhere below that well, and how to apply it exactly to make this mod work with the DLC dialogues. Perhaps it's because I'm somewhat dyslexic or something.

It's taken me several DAYS to figure it out, but this bastard mod has been crashing my new game all weekend.
I had an old save from pancake FO4, booted that up with this mod, absolutely no problems.
I made a new build last week, booted up, no problem.
This weekend, every time I talked to codsworth after leaving the vault, it crashed every single time. I just got start me up and SS conqueror, so I spent my time trying to troubleshoot those for days, but whaddya know, for some reason this mod just decided not to play ball any more. If I activate my entire modlist without it, all good. With it, crash when talking to codsworth.

Edit: doing a simple reinstall seems to have fixed the issue. I'm guessing that it interacted with start me up in some unfavourable way until I fixed it again...

Probably, cos I've used it for years, no problem. Definitely is some other mod conflicting hard (I don't have 'start me up', whatever that does) or the mod order which might be the case there. Do you use LOOT? That usually gets things in the right order.

    Good Mornin/Evenin/Afternoon

Just reaching out to see if you'd be smooth with me uploading a version of your mod just with the charisma animations from this mod instead of the default vault boy. Been using your mod since I firsst got into Fallout 4 VR some years ago and figured I'd add in a mild bit of eyecandy. I would be leaving a link directing here to support and crediting of course.

Hey, I was wondering if you have the .fla files for the dialoguemenu.swf,  I wanted to make a patch for a charisma animation changer, converting the fla to swf seems to be a pain and am assuming I will break things if a lot of things didnt actually keep from the swf file conversion

will say im pretty new to modding itself so idk the best routes for handling file formats for fallout so things keep, like just using a mod tool may solve my problem, just dont know what to use, some direction would definitely help me in the long run as Im definitely willing to put the work in if I can figure out how

I have not worked with shockwave flash files much either. I used JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler to rearrange/resize the dialog options and RABCDAsm to decompile some script inside of the swf file to flip the way they align themselves. I can't provide much more help than that since I did it a little over 3 years ago.

It doesn't seem to work in the dlc's. (Tried with Nuka World)
Although I have the list view, I still have the short answers.

Sorry for the late response; you need patched strings for the DLCs. I haven't included them but they are simple to do. To do it yourself, look up xTranslator and follow this guide: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/articles/11/?
I think it is up to date but it has been a while since I looked at it. You can use the guide for any DLC or mod (as far as I know), just replace most instances of Fallout4 to the DLC or mod.

I'm trying to run xTranslate for FO4VR. I can set the Options>Gamepath to the data folder but to data/Strings folder which I had to make doesn't seem to work. I want to patch strings for the DLCs so the dialogue won't get truncated.
Any ideas how to run xTranslate for FO4VR? I was able to load DLCNukaWorld.esm into xTranslate and then open the OldDialogueStyle window as in the instructions. Closing it said it changed a bunch of short dialogue. I don't know how to get the "patched strings for DLC" I need using xTranslate.
      >>>Update:
"I read the comments thread and afaik, you can just download the FDI strings for the DLCs and use them with the VR dialogue mod."
-Do you know where I can download the FDI strings for the DLCs?
The all in one installer has the strings for the base game and DLCs.

Great work. I'm using an HTC Vive. I realize this is contrary to many problems but I'm having trouble reading the text some of the time. It would be helpful if a background could be added to the text. Skyrim VR makes this all so much easier. Or does anyone have any suggestions on how I might make the text a little bigger even of that cuts off some dialogs?

Try the Fallout configuration tool. It allows to increase or decrease the size of things, plus a lot more. that may work for you. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/28587

Oh, THANK ATOM, I found this mod again.

The 'main/most popular mod' will NOT work for me, I don't want all the damn options, I just want THIS. Simple wheel, text.
I don't want half the choices cut off visually so I can't see a damn thing, I just want something that WORKS.

    That something is THIS.
I thought I had lost it forever after I had to do a game directory uninstall/wipe.

I'm glad I found it again, because FO4VR is unplayable without it.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

In Windows Mixed Reality headsets, you can't make any selections on the dialogue wheel. I"m going to do a fresh install and a new save. Can't figure out what the deal is.

Thumbstick, not the trackpad. Works fine for me, installed using Vortex with no errors.
