I haven't played Fallout 4 for years, but I decided to update my mods for this game: this one and the wigs. Now both are flagged as .esl, so they don't count towards the mod limit.
If you know how to use xEdit, you can remove the chef hat with a quick edit to the outfit. Here's a screenshot where you can find it. Just click on the item entry for the hat, right click and select "Remove", then save and exit xEdit.
I like small mods like this. It fixes something that is an obvious oversight in the vanilla game and actually makes a big difference for immersion. Endorsed.
I've installed this mod and sorted my load order with LOOT, but the guy still isn't a vendor. I have the "Prydwen Player Home" mod, but it doesn't seem like that should interfere, since I don't think it touches the food guy. I'm playing on survival, so this mod would be a life saver (literally) if I could just get it to work. Any help would be appreciated.
Not a mutant, just wearing a costume (from one of my favourite mods). I'm not sure if it's against regulations. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24667
