3.5sec of googling turns a fallout wiki article transcribing the intro: "...Fades to a picture of Nora being held by Nate, then cuts to his back, dressed in U.S. combat armor and holding a laser rifle, as he walks down a desolate street with a squad of other U.S. soldiers. Fades out to the character creation screen, revealing that Nate was practicing his speech for a Veteran's Hall meeting."
While this is going on visually, the audio is: "...It is now the year 2077. We stand on the brink of total war, and I am afraid for myself, my wife, for my infant son. Because if my time in the army taught me one thing: it's that war, war never changes."
Y'all wannabe lore doctors need to find a better hobby if someone who makes his own lore can find an answer in under 5 seconds. No I won't provide source links, feel free to reverse search the quotes I copypasted and the page will turn up :P
Edit: The fact it doesn't maybe make sense chronologically is not argument, this is after all, Bethesda we're talking about. Wouldn't be an only thing in intro not making sense since: "A Nuka-Cola bottle can be seen in the supposedly 1940's homefront scene. Odd considering Nuka-Cola wasn't made until 2044."
Thank you! I appreciate your comment. Since opinions were divided as to whether the second photo was Nora, I thought it was faster to change the preset name
Photo 3 is from 1945 Nate's great, great grandmother. photo 2 is from 2077. Nate holds the picture saying he fears for himself, his wife and his infant son. Look at 2:10 here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NkHQs7ann4 So it sounds like this is Nora. You did a great job getting this preset really close to the original. Very Nice work.

Great work! It is very well done, but I always took the intro as implying that photo was being held by the male sole survivor's father. If so, then the woman in the photo is actually the male sole survivor's mother. Either way, it is quite a nice preset. Cheers!
The woman in the photo has a toddler child with her. I don't think that Sean had been born before the anchorage campaign. It is clear though that he is an infant when the three of them go into the Vault.
Your work is very well done - but bonus for the male soul survivor finding a wife that looks EXACTLY like his mother.
I agree that it's probably his mother, not Nora; they wouldn't have made Nora the way they did if that was supposed to be Nora, since that hairstyle is in the vanilla game anyway, so they would have used it.
Reviewing the intro I think you are probably correct that the photo is supposed to be of the male sole survivor's wife. That whole sequence occurs after the narrator states it is now 2077. Furthermore, the combat armor and T-60 power armor on screen would definitely not make much sense as having been around earlier, even with all the retconning Bethesda has already done. The initial scene with the woman and small boy is clearly the male sole survivor's great-great-grandmother and her son (whether his great-grandfather or not, is not obvious). Regardless, the point is, I was wrong.
I don't believe I've watched the whole intro all the way through more than twice now. The first time was when I first started a new game and the second was just a moment ago. No wonder I was lacking on details.
Very nice face and you seem to have gotten the attention of the lore purist's with this, which I have to chuckle at just a bit, this is the face that is changed the most of the vanilla game, right. I have to say I always liked that shot of Dianna Rigg looking up and the resemblance and symmetry here seems excellent.. There is a hair that is closer to the photo, do you want a screen shot? Also wanted to say that you did a fine description page, I like links to mods when I am building a character or a load order.
Edit; I put up a shot but it's really busy, to many irons in the fire. If you don't authorize it, I won't be hurt.
I know the in-game Nora is depicted as having dark brown eyes and hair, but the woman in the photo clearly has neither - her eyes are probably light blue and I'd guess her hair is more of a copper color. Still, you did a great job with the overall shape of the face!
Quote: Nora was removed from the MOD name because it was pointed out that the image is not Nora.
Who gives a F*&k?! You did an awesome job here - screw those as%wipe$ who never post anything! Keep up the fantastic work - don't let the bastwards get you down!
I stated an hour and a half ago, it IS Nora. I have no problem admitting I was wrong. Besides, It is not like people were trashing the modder or the mod. Whether it is Nora or not in the photo does not diminish the excellent preset. If I thought otherwise I would not have downloaded, endorsed, commented, clarified, and gave kudos to the uploader.

I think that it is probably a photo of Nora

:)
I think that hair and face are different.
And again, great work on the preset. Kudos.
I changed the name because the photo of the game is not clear as being Nora.

I think that it will be the base, so please adjust freely
