hi there, so i just started using the Horizon mod, and though i enjoy it, i have found more than a few annoyance's, so i have mods that should allow NPC's to be naked without underwear and the Horizon mod makes them wear underwear and i can't seem to overwrite or place mods differently to fix the issue, for some reason Horizon is insane on the scale of controlling everything in the game, i just want my nude mods to properly work without the BS underwear from the Horizon mod taking priority and i need help.

i'm using another mod for clothing, but that works okish with Horizon so that one is of no real issue here, i like some of horizon's clothing, especially the recolors, i just want to get naked sometimes, like is this to much to ask? lol

but seriously, i just want the ability to get naked as these mods are being overwritten by horizon and i can't seem to figure out how to bypass this issue.

thankful for the updated patch but i am getting a consistent ctd when using a armor workbench when i am wearing a piece of COTC clothing, not sure why. I have attached my buffout4 crash log and a copy of my game save perhaps you can help me sort it out. tried the game with and without the levelled list patch to see if for some reason it was causing the ctd, naturally when the COTC esp replacer was removed the game no longer ctd'd. thanks.

Strange it works fine for me and not much has changed from previous Horizon versions, aside from the hat...I will look into more this afternoon when I have time! Almost all of these workbench crashes are from improper keywords...sometimes they are caused from mods like awkcr. I'll look at it later though for sure

Hey man! I think I see your problem. Your clothingofthecommonwealth.esp is above horizon in your load order, it should be below Horizon. It is trying to access horizon's keywords but is not able to.

What mod organizer are you using? Vortex I guess? I assume that since its a replacer esp it didnt get adjusted in the load order where it should go.

Your load order just looks a litte messy, I like to group things together so its nice and neat, and then its easier to catch things like this. (Obviously you dont want to put things out of place to cause any issues) .....I mean, put your horizon patches together, and your gun mods together...etc....

Any big changes with the updated patch? I have a lot of patches merged so I'm wondering if I'm missing out on anything if I dont update.

Well, you dont “need” it, i guess...but there will be a bunch of level list conflicts without it. So install all 3 patches (eli, mercenary and clothing) and then my level list patch last. Order of the other 3 doesnt matter since my level list patch will overwrite anything that conflicts anyways.
You’ll still get some gear without my level list patch, but a lot wont show up.

Hey, cool to see another patch from you!

I did my own patch/edits for this to work with Eli's armor compendium and Horizon some time ago, mostly for the leveled lists and lowered the resistances on the new clothes and armors (all these barefoot/barefoot no shorts etc drove me crazy haha). Since it works and I am in the middle of a playthrough maybe I should stick to it until the next playthrough. But my question is there anything beside leveled lists and armor resistances that I missed and this patch includes?

Thanks for making patches for the great Horizon and sharing them too!

Nope i think you got everything! The only thing i did maybe different from you is removing the need for awkcr and armorsmith extended... i didnt see the need to craft this stuff since you can find it in leveld lists, and at least if someone doesnt want to install those mods they can use this now!
I always remove awkcr and armorsmith extended requirements when i can..

I like sharing them, its good to have everything tested! And ive never got a bug report yet so i guess everything is good so far!

I know a lot of people can do these themselves, its easy if you know what your doing...but some people just arent comfortable doing it themselves, there is a bit of a learning curve with this stuff!

Edit: Actually its more than just leveld lists and resistances...i dont know why i said that lol... You need to match up all the ma keywords (mod association) and ap keywords (attachpoints) so that clothing uses horizons linings and whatnot.
Hats/masks/glasses need those too! Its easy to compare an item to horizons and drag and drop the info you need.

Of course you need to make sure they are the same. Some masks cover only the mouth, for example...so it only needs the two horizon mouth keywords....but others cover eyes so it also needs a keyword to use horizons vision modes....
...so if you are drag and dropping info make sure your comparing the exact same items!

The thing is things will “work”. But if you dont patch things correctly you might be making something too strong or weak without knowing it. In horizon clothing items have to be equal. Its not what you equip its how you upgrade it, so things have to be patched perfectly with horizons standards!

Hello again, thanks for your detailed answer :)

Yeah I just got a little, little bit comfortable with FO4edit like the last 1-2 months after learning how to merge two leveled lists. When I got the hang of that I searched up how to change damage on weapons (so delighted to be able to quickly use a new weapon mod and not having OP damage) and the various resistances on clothes/armor, so I still depend a lot on the people like you who uploads patches. I have not learned how to patch the stuff like upgrades/linings so I guess it might be the next step, hopefully there is some youtube video tutorial or such that shows examples. How did you learn the basics?
I am not planing on going all in on learning modding so until I get the time to learn about keywords etc I will use your patch instead :D
Btw, is it optional in your patch to remove the clothes from the armorsmith workbench? I agree that crafting them is not really important, but since I also use this patch that is removing the all the extra variants except regular ones from Leveled Lists, I still liked to have the option to create them...just in case haha, silly I know since I will probably never do it anyway but I just wanted to ask :)
Here is a link to the Leveled List tweak, I recommend checking it out and see if it is something for you, the changes makes sense IMO.

PS. I think you should keep sharing your patches as long as you like it, I guess it will never get the same attention and praise as the original mods, but IMO it is worthy of it since you take your time to help others to be able to play many fantastic mods at the same time. Sorry for the long post, I tend to just ramble on haha. Thanks again for this and many of your other patches and have a nice day

You might be right about those items missing from leveled lists. I remember making a point to adding them and probably overlooked it! Thanks! I’ll add them soon when i have the time!!
I will add a version for crafting the stuff as well, (the other file is only a leveled list patch for the two mods i mentioned) i considered it before and now wish i had have, its a good idea!

I learned everything on my own...ive never seen any tutorials. It sorta helped me actually... A lot of things that took me a while at first could actually be done 10x faster using some shortcuts...but making things the slow/hard way helped me learn a lot.

The bottom tab “refernced by” is a BIG help! Reverse engineer other peoples works. Thats what i did. With some things youll get that “ah ha!” moment when something finally makes sense!!!

And thanks for the thanks man! I appreciate it!

Yes, I know what you mean with the "ah-ha" moments xD I looked at that "referenced by" sometimes but can not yet make much sense of the texts there. But it will probably come an "ah-ha" moment some day.
About the missing clothes it is only with the Leveled List tweak the barefoot version and such is removed, not in the original Clothing of Commonwealth. So don't worry about it, it is all there as far as I remember. I only wondered if the crafting option stays, since I used that Leveled List tweak to remove the barefoot version etc, so I can still make a barefoot version if I ever feel the urge to run around with no shoes in a toxic wasteland haha.
Thanks for considering making one patch with crafting option and for your nice and informative answers!

Oh ok! Sory i see what you mean now...
I’m definately going to add the crafting options to my own patch, and make a tweak to remove those barefeet from leveled lists.
So, i’ll have 2 options..option 1: crafting and barefeet in leveled lists...and option 2: crafting and no barefeet in leveled lists..hopefully i’ll find the time to do it today! (I dont want barefeet npcs myself lol)
Thanks for your comments they’ve helped me a lot with this patch!

Wow man, you work fast! This was a bonus for me, when I get the new version of your patch I can uninstall maybe 2-3 plugins/patches that covers basically the same stuff. Many thanks to you and cool that my random ramblings about barefeets and stuff turned out to be a help hahah xD

Hahhaha...ya thanks man, i dont have time to play, im mostly patching...so any tips/help or ramblings is greatly appreciated!

I still want to make another patch that has a barefoot option for npcs but have them show up rarer.

..and i only get a couple hours every couple days to play around with patches...so i have to work fast! As soon as my son is in bed or out with the grandparents its GAME F$&@!N’ ON!!!!!!! Lol

Once you know what your doing its actually fairly quick and really easy! It has to be if i can do it! Lol
Foedit has a lot of features that can make things easier...ive never watched any tutorials, but i discovered everything by accident mucking around with it lol .,,sometimes hitting the wrong key really is better in the long run...

Fair points. I wanted to echo Reve23, you probably won't get the recognition you deserve but you sharing your work is much appreciated by some of us. I do wonder if I am the only person who likes the barefoot design concept for some of the npcs....

I dont mind the barefoot clothing items, but just looking at the leveled lists they seem like they would spawn a little too much, for me anyways. I wouldnt mind taking my time and making them spawn at a 4:1 ratio or something....hmm thats a good idea actually...hmmm...I might upload a new version tommorow..lol...

I love patching this stuff. I think its sort of an excuse to keep holding off on a real playthrough until zawinul releases another update.. Patching armors seems safe too. I think they will be compatible forever.

Im always paranoid about bugs and ruining something but ive got some more confidence now. At first i was scared as hell to check my pages incase i had a bunch of bug reports. Lol...

I really want to look at my cross cybernetics patch again. I didnt touch the object effects and i really want a second pass at it. I need to upgrade my ncr veteran patch and ncr patrol armor patches too to add in the armor upgrades. I would also love to take every mod ive patched, and the patched eli emporium mod, and the patched mercenary mod, and make a huge level list patch that adds like hundreds of outfits and accessories to the game.

Ive always like helping people, so even 1 download makes it worthwhile to me!
