Ok so you want this as an optional skin..therefore i would have to update my game, which i refuse to do..at least as long as i`m still playing..
Creation Club? Ghost content added to the game? Mods don`t work no more? I really read strange things about the updates..my game wasn`t updated since a year..and nothing bad happened.
I really like this, but unfortunately it seems to be incompatible with the Pipboy Flashlight mod, they both alter the same "PipboyLowPlayer.nif" model which causes the light to turn itself off when changing your viewpoint, such as when aiming a scoped weapon in 3rd person view, using VATS or switching between the first and 3rd person cameras.
I attempted to reinstall the Pipboy Flashlight mod after installing this, but ended up with a big red triangle with an exclamation mark in the center signifying a missing model floating around my character after doing it.
I'm not sure what the issue could be, I'm pretty sure the Pipboy model itself has nothing to do with the light that it casts, but I could be wrong.
I will add incompatibility with flashlight to the description..
you`re right..the flashlight mod depends on the PipboyLowPlayer.nif, it is just needed for me to make those turning controls glow in 3rd person..therefore i`m gonna make a version compatible to flashlight and just remove the mesh..

EDIT: So here is what i did.. I`ve installed PB FL myself and everything was fine..after installing my mod i had the same issue as you had..but after reinstalling the FL mesh i had no such problem as you with a big red triangle with an exclamation mark in the center signifying a missing model floating..you may have done something wrong..you just need to replace my mesh with the PB FL mesh and everything`s fine.. everything works, vats, 3rd and 1rst person switches no problem.
however i just released an optional file of my mod which is PB FL compatible in the Optional section.
Okay, I copied the .nif from the Pipboy flashlight mod into the data/meshes/characterassets/pipboy folder after reinstalling your mod and it's working properly now, I think Nexus Mod Manager was just screwing something up when I tried to overwrite it yesterday.

Guess I'm one of the lucky ones that doesn't get any bugs from using the pip pad, although, I haven't updated it in a long while now & I don't intend to, why fix something that isn't broke, right?
I haven't really had any issues with the Pip-Pad myself and I prefer it over the Pip-Boy cus it makes the game more immersive when doing alternate start playthroughs with start me up. I would truly love to see you make a version of this skin for it I can see the pip-pad looking absolutely amazing with this skin
lolz..unlike the pipboy the pippad offers some more modding possibilities..i don`t want to reveal much..one thing`s for sure, this is gonna be some real freaky shit.
Was not expecting much, gave the mod a try and endorsed. Well done, good in between from a total neon or total black to much more appropriate for the time period. Easily endorsed.

I`ve got the permission from AlexScorpion to make custom textures for the Pip Pad..
