Updated mod with MCM support, not much else is new, except a few more caps choices for speech bobblehead in the MCM menus.
Enjoy!
I think i finally fixed all the stuff i borked when rushing through to update this and my other mods. I hope it works as intended now. I'm very sorry for any inconveniences i caused.
hey does anyone know if this mod is effected by known issue with currency at high amounts causes a bug with calculation or some like i forgot what it was about i do know it was known bug with mods that changes caps or gold if skyrim.
Shouldn't happen, because FO4 doesn't use items as currency. Currency is just a value here. In Skyrim, coins were an item in your inventory and there was a bug because of a limit in how many items can be transferred in a single transaction between inventories.
No offense, but I thought caps are also an item in our inventory? Does Fallout 4 have a different engine system hard-coded to manage how currency works compared to Skyrim? (I understand this post is a bit old. Just needed to make sure I can safely add this mod to my new playthrough :) )
I found another vendor that this mod doesn't seem to work on: Deb at Bunker Hill. Even with other shops going up above 5000 caps, she's barely getting above 200.
It's been about 3 years since you asked for any more vendors this doesn't work with. Are you still interested?
The trader in the tunnel under Hangman's Alley seems to never reset, so they may need the same form that Gage needed. I vaguely remember another trader in a shack somewhere on the west/northwest side of the map that also doesn't ever reset. The shack is full of cats and cat pictures iirc. There might also be one other out there that has a wild corn farm further north.
None of these are marked essential, and I don't think they have vendor containers, so it also might not be a good idea to give them lots of caps that can be easily robbed. I dunno.
For some reason, this mod makes it impossible to exit the vault after character creation. You can progress through the vault as normal but after accessing the vault door controls, the machine just sits there and doesn't move. I don't know if this is caused by interference with other mods but disabling just this one let me exit as normal. Other than that, it doesn't affect game play if activated after exiting the vault.
I looked at Gage in the CK (still haven't played nuka world) and it seems Bethesda gave him 100 bottle caps directly instead of using one of the forms that other vendors use. Since fixing this would mean this mod would require nuka world dlc loaded to work, and I don't know how many people actually own this or the other dlcs, I prefer not to make it dlc dependent. Instead I'll make a .esl plugin that won't count towards the plugin limit but will add the required form to Gage to make him compatible with vendor caps, seems like a decent solution to me
If you run into any other vendors not working with vendor caps, be sure to leave a comment with their name and/or location and I'll look into fixing it!
Was about to download the Rich V3endors which is an already configured mod, very good for those who just want to install and play honestly, but i saw this mod has MCM support which means i can constumize the amount of caps vendors have as i see fit(so i can feel more immeresed by using my own configuration instead of a premade fixed one),so i decided to give this a try
