Works well with SKK's Vertibird travel mod.

This should be posted and sticked on the main page of Nexus. This makes Hardcore travel way less painful, and I've seen no problem so far. If only I've knew about this, I could have saved 30 hours in my total play time. xD Endorsed and up voted.

Who need Vertibird when you have fast travel?

I suspect crashes due to speed are directly linked to the speed of the storage device the game is on. The game having to load cells will be directly effected by the speed of the install location. If you use a HDD (typical read speeds of a defragmented drive being ~120MB/sec) I would suggest using the 50% increase while a fast SATA 3 SSD (typical read speeds being ~500MB/sec) of or a stupidly fast M.2 SSD (read speeds of 1.5GB/sec and faster) would allow you to use the faster 200% with less problems. This is purely speculative and some testing would need to be done to confirm but one should consider their hardware before choosing which mod option to go with.

In any event, thanks for this mod - I use the Personal Vertibird mod and will post back with how it performs on some cross-map journeys (ie, Sanctuary to Spectacle Island) in addition to my system specs for context.

Thanks for this, I'll be sure to test it with Durable Vertibirds and Private Vertibird mods!

If you can, update on how it went. Had to drop private vertibirds because it aggroed evrything and it was a clusterf*ck and would always end up dying. Opting for a sneaky vert or at the least something that would move faster to evade rockets.
