Couldn't it be better to just change the audio files instead of making us install 99 esp plugins or 1 that you can't even customize?

The last update was over 5 years ago.
NMM has quite a few bugs that will never be fixed now that it has been retired.
You might want to consider switching to VORTEX or MO2.

I don't use nmm anymore since it stopped signing me in, and switched to mo2, ...
But even in mo2 it will still say that about some of the mods even after you checking and yes you have the latest and only ver, ..
What I do in mo2 knowing that, I right click n select ignore update, don't know if you can do that in nmm , ?

Beats me. I haven't seen that problem with VORTEX. But maybe I've just been lucky.

NMM is still being supported and receives frequent updates. It was picked up by developers quite some time ago.

I am using NMM now, and saying that it " receives frequent updates"  is almost an understatement.  I have used NMM and Vortex with this mod without issues for years.  Perhaps it means there is a new version of NMM.

That happens when you're using the installer version over the all-in-one, the Nexus system considers the all-in-one the 'latest' version (I got the same warning before I switched files).

As posted in bugs section. This mod DOES INDEED cause a CTD on occasion (always for some) at RED ROCKET.

    Going to have to uninstall

This mod only lowers the volume for specific workshop items like turrets, generators, etc.  I don't see how that causes CTD,s.  It is also likely that anything you built, turrets, etc still have there volume at the lower sound setting.  Check it out in FO4Edit or CK.

I backed up an old save an reverted to that(before i installed mod) so my sounds are fine.

This mod IS causing CTD at red rocket for me,and it has been reported by other users,in bugs section. This mod is either directly causing it or is conflicting. I agree that a sound mod in theory shouldnt cause an issue like this but mods are funny sometimes.. to quote another user   'When in 3rd person, running under the Rocket area at the Red Rocket causes my game to CTD... always. i can recreate this bug at will."

      • "Well.. since i stopped using it... no CTD's at the Red Rocket..EVER!!!"

18 March 2016, 7:26AM"You are right, it's this mod. Had no CTD in 2 days now and it's the only mod I turned off :)"

= THIS IS HAPPENING IN THE EXACT SAME WAY TO ME TOO. PROVEN.

Look the fact is,i went 50-60 hours in a playthrough(30 mods) and had absolutely ZERO crashes.... i install this mod and get a crash within 20 minutes of playtime,at a location where other users have reported crashing with this mod in detail.

Its reproducable for me too,so i will play without it as i intend to build around red rocket and stay for my playthrough. This leads me to listen to other bug reports from other users about other settlement crashes and far harbor.

Seriously....60 hours playthrough...no crashes...20 minutes after installing these 3 esp files...crash. it is not a coincidence.

Yes, I did read the bug reports too. I am sorry this mod is not working for you and some others, but glad to hear you no longer are experiencing CTD's.

Yeah, what can you do. its simply nature of modding. its a great mod,so great infact i would recommend it to others because the crash every so often may be worth it considering it addresses constant loud noises. However for myself,il be based at RR,so i cant .

Just because a mod is at the tail end of causing a CTD (e.g. removing it removes the CTD) doesn't mean it is the direct cause itself. It could be one mod throwing a conflict or numerous, depending on how many are trying to overwrite each other. You have an entire load order of potential conflicts and all this file does is a minor volume tweak via esp... hardly CTD worthy. I threw this in at the end of a 659 active mod load order and it conflicts with literally nothing. Try using Buffout4 and check your crash logs in the community Discord. Also, if you're using the 3xESP version try the all-in-one and just edit the settings in FO4Edit. It could also be a problem adding it in mid-game vs into a fresh playthrough, where it's trying to overwrite values already baked into your save and causing some weird issue... No way to know where to throw blame without checking a crash log.

THANK YOU for creating an option that doesn't require a mod manager! FOMOD-based mods have been the bane of my existence since I switched to Linux and now just have a handful of mods manually installed. This is definitely going on the list!

If you don't want to touch this buggy mod but still can't stand the hammering, Obedient Concord Group goes above and beyond by removing the hammering markers, so the settlers who had been wasting everyone's time by hammering up on the roof can now be put to work somewhere else.
