so it all exists within the same exterior cell, that is way cool and something i never thought possible in this game, but now i'm thinking how such a thing is possible?
Tried this out in a new game and it didn't work properly at all. Load order is fine, so far as I know. Moving the mods made no difference.
I seem to have two Covenants, one on top of the other. It became automatically owned upon discovery and the door opened without need of a key or speaking to Swanson. Honest Dan is just standing and staring at an empty chair (where the Settler he is questioning sits).
Some of the walls are missing and the water trough flickers invisible at certain angles.
Also, a little disappointed that you can't delete the excess exterior walls and any turret stands, so that you can make it your own. Overall, not a great mod for me.
Just can't seem to find a decent Covenant mod on Xbox that doesn't either break, not work as intended or allow you to delete things safely. Looks like I'm ignoring this place once more lol.
did yu try reversing the load orders between the greeks taffington and this covenant? probably wouldn't help because even his OWN covenant mod wrecks his very own taffington :(
I just checked this out with an almost new save (left the vault, got myself together, and saved on the bridge before going too far), and it worked smoothly through Human Error, no hangups besides the usual Dan dialogue blip if you interrupt his open convo with the resident, but just speaking to him kicks everything back into gear. Found Jacob sitting on the porch of one of the new houses, so the originals will roam within the walls. They don't seem to go outside, but for the paranoia that defines the town, I think it makes sense. I like that it goes out onto the road, because they're trying to lure as many people in as they can, but they also seem proud enough as a community to force their presence onto a major pathway. Great!
Minor flaws: - As stated, the upper foor of the bunker has no collision, but that's what we have Place Anywhere for. -One of the residents popped a brown face for a second, but reverted once I went to the road and back. I have Heather Casdin (spawns close to Covenant, but I hadn't met her yet), and Superhero Body tattoos going with no brown face fix, so that was likely the cause. -For some reason can't run this and the Starlight Bus mod, as it just hard crashes. But I haven't been able to get that mod to play nice yet with a few things anyway and may need an ACTUAL new save. Could totally be on my end.
Overall, if you feel the same flourishes help this town expand it's lore as I feel it does, give it a go!
Love this mod- the best expanded settlement one IMO.
But I was wondering if there are any mods that allow for scrapping certain parts- I wanted to expand the bunker above ground and maybe remove the barn in front of it. Are you aware if Scrap Everything would work for this?
I realise it might be a little late but place everywhere has a feature that allows for deleting things that you otherwise wouldn't be able to... you'll need to edit the "place.ini" and enable scetion - [dangerous] deleteEnabled = on
you toggle the option on with the "insert" key. be very careful with it as you can really mess your game up. save often and be prepared for crashes.
Was looking for something to help expand Covenant. I have another mod that increases the size of all my settlements, but the problem with Covenant is that the folks living there won't really use stuff 'outside' the original area (even if I move the walls myself, with place Anywhere). They just sort-of stop were the walls used to be and stare-off into space (not that that is a unique problem in a Bethesda game LOL). However, I think this does a bit too much - not really loving the walls extending to the river (my other mod DOES extend the area to there, which I like... i just don't like walls going across the road). also, I probably wouldn't use the bunker (not that that is a deal-breaker; I don't use a LOT of stuff in other locations, like 95% of Vault 88). I also see other folks saying they are having problems. In a quest-heavy space I would never preinstall a mod (before starting), because no matter how well made, I always find hiccups, and since this is ONLY recommended on a new game, and I've already altered the settlement via that other settlements expansion mod, I'm afraid I'd have massive clipping issues (once another mod touches something, anything moved by an additional mod reverts... I have this problem with Homeplate). This entire quest-line is already extremely quirky (not your fault - Bethesda really didn't fine-tune the 'become friends' option), so I would be very much afraid to tamper with it further (and Amelia Stockton is alive and well and living in Covenant IMG... although she's pretty useless LOL. I did that with Console Commands - I plan to return her to her father when I get Bunker Hill).
Anyhow, I didn't come here to complain - it looks like you've done a very nice job expanding the place. I got here from your other mod page (I'm going to try the GA Galleria one), and noticed that the link to your Mystic Pines settlement below is broken - no matter which you click on, it only brings you to the Xbox/Bethesda page one. I C&P'd the link instead, so no big - I just thought you should know.
