It's really sad that this mod hasn't been updated. I love the atmosphere it gives the game, but the blocky texture issue really kills it.

Agreed. Although 3yrs isn't overly long for a significant retexture mod. I've spent 2 years (roughly 3 evenings plus most Sundays, for every single week) to produce one overhaul for a game many years ago (and got no thanks but only requests/demands/abuse). And you don't know someone's family/work or regards covid. And they aren't doing it for you - these things are unpaid labours of love.

The Full Frost effort is a good idea - in theory - but imho it may have gotten bogged down trying to do too much with the landscape, and covering both vanilla AND another tree mod, and trying to be a frosty mod AND a snowy one. And why try to make critters frosty? Frost isn't going to last on an animal or ghoul roaming around, and lurks are in water, and plenty of every creature type is irradiated.

Vanilla trees & plants are half way there anyway, so all this mod needed to do was scatter a bit of whiteness around the ground to look like a bit of lingering frost or fading last scraps from a light dusting of snow in the grass. Don't bother with trees, roads or structures (which don't hold onto the frost or dustings/scraps of snow like the cold earthen ground does anyway). If I was still modding that's what I would do, but I was getting too much middle-aged eyestrain and nowadays don't really have the time...

Does this affect the glowing sea? As in does it add a load of trees into the glowing sea that are not normally there?

Not sure what's conflicting with it but the trees keep getting bigger and spawning more and more. I went back to sanctuary and had like 20 trees in the water and 5 huge ass trees that weren't there before.

I'm using Fallout Seasons (Snow) - and this mod (to add some tree diversity) and it works really well together. I also use Calamity Weather (Winter) and Fallout 2287 Gas Masks of the Wasteland for that Nuclear Winter/Metro 2033 kinda feel (I'm a Survival Player). Tracking this mod to see how your winter overhaul turns out.

Hi, does this mod affect Far Harbor and Nuka World, too?
    1. The current build (0.7) doesn't touch any new textures in nuka world or far harbor. The new build I'm working on now (0.8) will add a far harbor supported version. I can add nuka world support too if you don't mind waiting a week or two.

Nice to see you are back!

However, latest update isn't usable at all. It's destroying several textures in the world (for example vault textures, power armor textures etc.)
    1. thanks, that's... weird, the new update didn't even touch power armor, tested fine with me so I'll look into fixing it asap

So I don't see the Conifers mod being required. Is it needed at all?
    1. (sorry for the delay) no, you do not need to have the original conifers mod by tookiejones in order for my mod to work.

I was wondering, thanks. I noticed that the other mod had some sudden issues with odd tree placement, but didn't see anything like that here.

This mod is heavily underappreciated. It adds the perfect climate into the commenwealth. Looks like Metro Exodus

Could you pls come back and continue working on this?
    1. Thanks, glad you like it so much. I've been chipping away at the full version (all plants, ground textures, and a bunch of building textures) but I've let it fall to the side as I focus on real-life things. I wanna rap it up some time in the next few months but I'm not sure when that'll be.

I love you mod, but it changes plans into huge trees in Grey Garden. Same problem is in Sanctuary.
    1. Thanks. The mod does change a few tree's types. If the bigger tree behind the greenhouse, in the cul de sac or in any other settlements are in the way of building, I suggest getting a mod like Scrap Everything (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5320/) and scrapping them,. (sorry for the delayed response)
