UPDATE: I am not abandoning this mod as previously stated.. I've had many requests to keep it going and updated so I'll start by addressing the top 3 complaints/suggestions.. .Ver 3 :: 1. Brush/Brambles in court yard ..Gone 2. Crows nests could not be scrapped..Now Scrap-able 3.Clipping items.. All Castle floors made stack-able, this should take care of that for the ones that had this issue..
For anyone struggling to use this mod and are using Nexus mod manager, go to plugins, then go to Castle Walls repaired version 3, drop it down and switch the category of the mod to late loaders, this seems to make it function well.
you really need to re-enable precombines for this mod.
loading this after prp makes this mod work fine. loading before loads both the castles.
if loaded after PRP. the preculling for the castle is disabled. i tested this via the tpc command ingame and told me the preculling around the castle is disabled.
albeit there is a prp patch for this mod, that patch didnt like my other prp patches as it would break the castle entirely or load both castles like i mentioned.
and, albeit the preculling radius is small, infact it doesnt even stretch to south boston (which is a relief) the preculling works fine past the little shack and boat on the stretch of land if you know what i mean.
I have one criticism on this mod. The armory seems to separated into two unconnected rooms. The one with the reinforced door, and the one with a weapon workbench. I dont like it lmao, it also makes ronnie shaw confuse as to where she needs to stand.
Can you make a version where the 2 sections of the armory is connected, but put a wall that connects the weapon workbench section to the hallway. That way the only way to access the weapon workbench room is through the reinforced door thingy? I looove the overall mod, but this one thing is a little awkward
this usually happens, when you have the mod installed while starting a new game, since the castle is "respawning" after taking over
it's a partly cell reset and normal.
so first take the castle and scrap whatever you need to scrap - then leave for three or four ingame days, go back, make a save, go back to main menue, activate the mod and reload the save game.
FOR ANYONE HAVING ISSUES WITH: floating rocks (and more) near the main gate the old castle walls still existing unscrappable debris near the armor bench building
What fixed the issue for me is removing mods that adjust anything about the castle settlement, mods like bigger castle building area, come at me bro and probably more seem to have been the issue
I don't recommend this mod, not just because of the outdoor grass clipping (annoying, but can be fixed with moving the rocks in place over the clipped areas), but the layout is really wonky. There's one door leading to where the Mirelurk Queen came from, but no doors on either roads to each side. There's also some rock debris in some of the corridors. Since this mod isn't getting updated anymore it's better to either keep the vanilla version or try a different wall fix.
