Heya! I'm new to modding and I'm trying to add a glow to the eyes of the gas mask with goggles, I've looked at the material modding tutorial and created a glowmap, made the bgsm and added the path to the glowmap, placed both the glowmap and and the bgsm in the correct folders but it still won't show! For what it's worth I'm modified the other textures (diffuse,normal, specular) etc and those modifications show up fine but for some reason the glowmap just won't show
Hey, I'd like to change a global value (or add a perk) when an object with a specific legendary mod is deconstructed. Do you know if that's possible in FO4Edit?
Can you, Sky, or anyone else for that matter, tell me how I can add functionality from one item to a different specific item in FO4 and possibly make a stand alone version of it? Or at least point me in the direction of a tutorial on how to do that? Thank you in advance.
1-You can always copy an Item as new record into another file in FO4Edit, give it a different name, change whatever you need. That will be standalone because it has a new name and a new form id.
2-If you want the item to craftable you need afterwards to create a "Constructible Object" and name it accordingly e.g. co_YourItemName
3-Now you might want to change the needed components to create your item.
Ieft only the aluminium, it could be something else (leather for example).
We also need to change the created object.
Changed Created Object and added a Recipe under Utility so it can be crafted.
I hope this shows you in an understandably way how it's done, it's always hard to explain something when I don't know what you know already.
As a totally newbie f4 modder (more like potential, than real) i not found the answer for the first question i have - how to create new mod file and start to mod.
Hey, I have never modded before. I believe I can given how much I've worked with computers. Say I want to do more than add some items, maybe I want to add more options for the open world, interactions with npcs and your settlements. I hope someone who has previously modded would contact me, I have an incredible idea for a mod, one I know many people would enjoy since the karma was kinda under-looked in this game. hey since i know you can do hair is there anyway you could add an green arrow/robin hoodesque facial hair. id figure by combining dead mans hand, hollywood classic, and gettysburg it would look pretty good. i would do it myself but i have no idea how. If youv got any tips please respond. personally i just wish i could choose a mustache and then a beard/goat in the creation menu.
I am trying to create an Unladylike Variation like Cressida from Hunger Games. I figured this would be a good place to ask since you've made some other mods. I've completed the .3ds and .obj file, and got them converted to .nif I've added the model(.nif) location and all other attributes into FO4Edit and created the .esp, but I can't get it to render in-game If you, or anyone else knowledgeable, could help me, I would greatly appreciate it. Hello I'm pretty new to making mods and just learning how to use FO4edit. I am trying to figure out how to change or even add on to the timing for the delay on/off pylons and the interval timers in settlement building. I'm in the process of making some huge epic animated bilboards and I need some more options with those timers. I want to add more detail to them like 1/4 and 1/2 second intervals on the interval timer, also longer delay times. I've looked around a bit in FO4edit and found those types of pylon timers under the terminals section but haven't figured out how to change the timing. I was just able to change the text that was read on the terminal. I'm sure I'm just not looking in the right spot. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great!??
