    I installed this mod and the light on the combat helmet not being used. The only mod I am using that might be changing the combat helmet is Horizon 1.8. Looks like an awesome mod but it just is not working for some reason.

    I have a lot of mods but.. I never installed any pip boy altering mods because I actually like the original pip boy. using game default pip boy flashlight. my only armor mods is AWKCR and AE + other mods that add immersion that effect game play. But it still didn't work. been searching for a week and this is latest mods that actually care about why the combat helmet lamp didin't work. Hope this will be improve somewhere in the future. I tried tactical flashlight but... I dont like it. If anyone know how to make this work.. please let us know.

      Thanks for your interest in this mod. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about modding to fix this or make it compatible. Running AWKCR is probably why mine doesn't work, but I believe the mods linked in the description should work instead.

    Judging from the comments and noticing how the mod was uploaded and never not even once updated this thing is junk and is not working unless you play the very and most vanilla game one can play,and let's be fair NOBODY plays vanilla XD,so you'd be better off finding another mod that fixes what Bethesda f-ed up and still use mods,at least other mods that fixes this have been updated and try to be compatible with other mods while this has never not even once been updated and from the comments this thing doesn't play nice with other mods at all,FIND SOMETHINGELSE PPL

    Edit: looks like i was right in my commment posted BEFORE downloading this mod,its kinda crap made and incompatible with any mods,i have literally no mods that affect armors in any way so conflict between this and combat armor mods or marine armor mods is out,i only have the pipboy flashlight(which this is conflicting with) and it kinda works,it does have the white light unlike the pipboy light which is green,but the light comes out of the pipboy not the helmet,now that again may be due to the pipboy light but i search for this kind of mod specifically to make the headgear light work,having this come from the pipboy makes this mod useless to me and anyone who has the pipboy light simply cuz you can make that light white,again just look for somethingelse unless you play a game with NO MODS AT ALL

      Which is likely why it isn't working. Unfortunately, I didn't set out to make this mod compatible with everything on earth, I have neither the will, time, nor skill to do that. It literally says in the mod text that this might break if you use mods. I'm not sure what else to tell you...

      I did edit the disclaimer to be more clear, though.

    Updated to v2: The same function was added to the "open" Synth Helmet. Additionally, something appears to have changed in the way Fallout 4 works since the last time I played some time in 2019, possibly breaking the mod. This should now be fixed, and as a result the mod has grown from 3kb to an astoundingly huge 32kb.

    I have also updated the disclaimer on the main page to more clearly communicate what was so astutely noted below - to err on the side of caution, this mod likely DOES NOT work with any mod which does anything to these items. Especially if your load order is set so other mods overwrite it. It's a 32kb mod that flips a few software switches, not AWKCR which is intended to support everything including your mom and the kitchen sink at the same time. Or even your mom sitting on the kitchen sink.

    Not working for some reason. The other mod you suggest does work sorta kinda but lights up the back of the body as the node is not in the correct place.
    As for this mod it does not seem to work at all. when i turn on the light it goes to pipboy.

      That's weird, sounds like there's a mod conflict going on. Both my mod and the linked one work for me (mostly vanilla).

      I'm getting this too. I also have the combat helmet headlamp mod, which had the same issue till I crafted the actual headlamp mod attachment in armor workbench, then it worked. This one is not working properly. The light is behind the character in 3rd person. Can't craft headlamp as this helmet doesn't show up in workbench. Author should probably hide this mod till it's actually working properly. Oh and this mod will bug your combat helmet if you have the combat helmet headlamp mod installed. It will make the light of the combat helmet appear behind the character in 3rd person.

      I note right in the description that this mod:
      >may be incompatible with mods that do anything to these items.
      The mod simply flips a switch for the combat and marine helmet. Anything to do with the light is either Bethesda's default code/modeling or whatever your other mods do.
      I also note in the description that there are two other mods available if this one doesn't work or if you have AWKCR installed already.

    this mod is compatible with UIF faction mod and flashlight/lasersights attachments for vanilla weapons?

    Does this work with either of the Marine Helmet Neck Hood mods (I think there are two)?

      Can't seem to make either of those work, so I can't tell you exactly, but I assume since they just replace the mesh it should work.
