I'm curious, did you do any of the Atom Cats quests? If so, then I wouldn't install a mod that keeps Peepers alive, as not many can keep him alive when the gunners attack, Saw oxhorn do it but not anyone else, so just wondering if you did that part.
Pretty sure I did them, and if I did then Peepers definitely would have survived. Also shameless plug but in my mod Appalachia Commonwealth I set Peepers to essential as well as other cute non-human NPCs like Clarabell and Maisie at Abernathy Farm. And also every cat in the game ever. I even resurrected the cats in the Institute FEV lab and made them immortal.

Ye I know I could have kept them alive and sided with the Minutemen but I killed them because they're racist assholes who don't care about the Commonwealth.
Exactly my thoughts. I only spare them so I can really kill them with the "America Rising - A Tale of the Enclave" -mod, but it actually works to kill them two times also
True that does seem quite fun. I like the Minutemen quest and the Railroad quest to kill them too. Feels like you're doing your part in the "Good Fight" Three Dog is all about.
