Short answer: mod conflict. Long answer: the game can't find the mesh (or possibly the textures, but that usually causes bright pink meshes), so you probably have a mod that deleted/overwrote/conflicts with the blade mesh. If you can see the blades on the tire iron, then it's something that just affects my mod, like another sledgehammer mod. If you can't see the blade on a tire iron, then something is affecting the base game mesh.
Good job. Bethesda's main problem is that they have no idea about just how long 200 years is. Who is making the gun powder and the bullets of various calibers? Who is actually building the various guns for the various gangs? The Institute and BoS use techno weapons exclusively. The gunners, raiders, and CoA don't have suppliers, the raiders also have logistics problems that can't be solved by their proclivities. The super mutants hands are far too big to operate ranged weapons, if anyone should be exclusively melee, it should be super mutants. Realistically: live by the gun, go deaf by the gun. The protagonist should be able to walk on pea gravel and never be detected by anyone. Bethesda didn't want to be accused of remaking Skyrim in the future, but that's what they did. It was as some people have said, it is just Skyrim with guns
the gun runners makes most of the gun and ammo throw-out wasteland mainly new Vegas, the pit raiders mass produce ammo and explosives in DC, the gunners are smart enough to make and restore there own weapons and ammo most of witch came from pre war military bases and enclave ruminates and the commonwealth raiders use makeshift guns so its safe to presume they use makeshift bullets
Yeah I too was kinda confused by the lack of a Fireaxe, or why you strap circular saw blades to make the thing "sharp" Rather then lets say, attach that blade from the Tire iron to the sledge hammer. - That would be a much more effective cutting tool then sawblades on a sledgehammer.
Three reasons: 1) It looks like a toy, which it is, 2) It's a unique weapon that takes time to get and can't spawn with any legendary effect except the Grognak one, and 3) I have a grudge against Grognak's Axe because it LIES to you! It says it's "medium" speed, but it's NOT. Weapon speed is based solely on the animations the weapon uses, and Grognak's Axe uses the "slow" two-handed animations. Someone at Beth clicked the wrong thing in the "speed" dropdown and no one ever corrected it.
No, though I plan to make the harpoon from Far Harbor a stabbing weapon. It would go well with the throwing harpoons in "Throwing Weapons Westored" https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13771/? They're hard to use, but fun.
