GREETINGS

Update1:
-Added a few useful bat files to play around with. If you need additional Weather IDs...
-Added three missing animated bridges to the route(s) at the bottom of Mass Fusion Tower marathon savefile.
-Forgot to mention, in both video and text. tgm console command (god mode) is on the whole time so you can focus on the track and not your stamina or health.
But its also possible without it aswell, just more difficult :) You choose your difficulty.
-You can also enter build mode in most areas surrounding Mass Fusion Tower with tgm on, maybe you spot the workbenches
i spawned with "player.placeatme c1aeb".

►►DESCRIPTION:

I have posted about this a year ago and then kinda stopped working on it, but in the recent weeks i started working on it again and it reached a playable state. Over the course of 2 years on/off, i built this by hand. It is an attempt to combine Mirror's Edge freerunning gameplay with Fallout 4. I got the idea during developement of Mirror's Edge Catalyst in Jan.2016 when i heard it goes open world and went on from there. The final game was exactly what i imagined and i quite achieved something similar in FO4. But you'll be the judge on that. It's a great challenge to your patience, focus and how you handle the 3rd person control. One negative thought about slipping off, and boom you slip. You learn the tracks and then you feel the flow.

My goal was to use Bostons environments and tall buildings to build nice and challenging running routes, which are easy to learn but hard to master if you run them with fullspeed. You have to try it out yourself and judge, if it's something that is fun to you!

In the video i explain everything in detail and you also got many exciting runs to see what it's all about.

Go crazy and modify, add pieces as you see fit, or keep it as i designed it. Freedom is everything! Still i recommend running
your way through at least once, before changing things to feel the challenge i built into the courses.

On a sidenote: I also recommend the game 'Getting over it' on Steam, it's a very peculiar but really challenging climbing game, it reminded me of the challenge i built into my project. If you are hardcore enough check it out, they even have a function if you make it through you enter a special chat and you can talk to the dev about the game.

►►LORE:
Yes, I even set up a little lore for this. Basically they found something in the Memory Den, the device was upgraded and allows to enter this surreal world. It's purpose so far is unclear, all there is now is that you have to complete the runs with the highest possible momentum, to progress further. The faster the more points. I was planning a lore part for the video aswell, but it's better to leave that up to imagination for now.

Glowing Fungus also functions differently. It acts as energy source and perfectly safe sustenance to keep -tgm- mode up. It grows in hacked data pockets around some of the routes. Mostly at savespots, where previous visitors tried to cultivate them.

Preston Garvey also has his role in this dimension, he is the sidekick of the protagonist, advisor and general morale suppoort. He is also a quite skilled runner.

Of course alot is up to imagination and expandable.
--------

This is something completely out of the ordinary and not lore friendly or something, you could call it a 'Themepark savegame' with a new gamemode. Like you insert game cartridges in your Pip-Boy, you load up the
savegame and try running the tracks. I will certainly build more tracks in the future if time allows it, stay tuned!

I hope you enjoy the video and give this a shot. I worked really hard on this and it would be a joy to hear feedback from you, especially the Mirror's Edge and parkour/freerunning fans, who are lurking.

►►INSTALLATION:
Savegames are located in .../Documents/My Games/Fallout 4/Saves

The only really required mods are DDP'S Ramps & Rails and Snap n' build Greenhouse standalone packages, since i have used them extensively in the 'Mass Fusion Tower Marathon' route, the old savefile. Without them, half of the tracks are missing. This savefile offers the bulk of the routes.

The mod list might look extensive, but these are all pretty useful mods which fit into every modlist.

The Highspeed Rift is built with the new Ramps & rails and .It's more a standalone route, for now. Mass Fusion Tower route is slightly damaged in this savefile, because i phased out the 'ramps & rails' standalone but kept the greenhouse pieces. I will repair the damage and switch the necessary parts, using the ramps from DDP's AIO fullpack and the Greenhouse pieces from Homemaker. I will use the opportunity to eventually remix, redesign and expand the missing parts instead of just straight copying them from the old memory.

Stay tuned and..
ENJOY!
