Doesn't seem to work with Horizon 1.9, when I try to use the ArmoryActivator book as well it just tells me the item can't be equipped.

It works with horizon 1.8 and maybe even 1.9 unless the author of horizon does something silly (which wont happen, zawinul is a great modder) like deleting a record (something that is a bad practice, not just game, but software development) which is referenced by mods for previous versions. The only issue that can happen is that the new features of H1.9 may not be applied to old patches.

Hey, great mod by the way. If you're interested I could see about making the cell edits compatible with horizon. I couldn't make the armor compatible last time around but managed to make the cell edits work seamlessly. Let me know if you'd like the files to upload when I'm done or if you'd like to link them on this page. Cheers!

Yeah sure i can upload it here if you want that would be great!

I made this a long time ago when i first started patching...i had no clue how to make cell edits compatible (and i still dont ahhaha)..but to be sure there would be no issues i made a new copy of all the armors, so everything in my patch is a duplicate of the originals...you could rename this esp and install the original veteran ranger mod and have two separate but identical armors.
I guess that would mean that the new “copied” version would have to be put in the place of the original gear?

I'll be able to use the original cell edits and replace your armor in them fairly easily. I could probably even do it in FO4Edit. Should be done today, I'll keep in touch.

Ah i see ok! I always figured cell cahnages changes like that had to be done in the ck, and i have little experience with it. Maybe i should have investigated a little further, lol...

Sounds good thanks! I always considered revisiting this patch to add the missing content but ive always been busy with other patch requests or side tracked with something else. Its will be great to have this patch feel 100% complete!

      Sorry my fault.
The orginal ranger mod has a different way of modding the gear. It uses its own armor parts. Its probably done for cosmetic reasons but patching armor parts in horizon isnt that easy....so, i set up all the gear i added from the original ranger veteran mod to use horizons upgrading system.
basically, if you use the ranger coat, it will be upgraded just like any of the clothes in horizon, it wont use its own upgrades anymore. It used to have decal options that are now gone. The mask will be upgraded like any other mask in horizon, this means it wont use the vision modes added by the veteran ranger mod and you wont have the option to change anything cosmetic on the mask.

All gear is crafted in the chem lab and takes magazine perks.

Its just since it uses all of horizons armor parts im not sure if there will be clipping through the ranger coat, so just hide any armor parts you dont like, and everything will be fine.

I am not an expert modder and this is the best i can do, but i think its pretty good and better than not having this armor in horizon at all. Its 100% compatible and that was my biggest concern!

With this patch you can only get the gear from crafting it at the chem lab.

Here’s what i included in this patch from the original mod:
-8 armors. (Most are small texture changes)
      -2 helmets.
-2 masks (one is the glowing version).
