Oh I should be the one thanking you for your time!

I have not yet got the chance to look at your mod, neither in game nor in FO4Edit. Out of curiosity, did you rebalance the items in your patch(es) to be in line with the gameplay of Horizon? And you made them craft able at the chem station, right? The robotics lab in Horizon might be a good place. I made a patch just yesterday for another little mod and simply changed the chem station crafting location to the robotics lab under the "Equipment" tab. I guess that would also sort out the issue with having too many items cluttering up the chem station. However, I still think your optional file book approach is a very neat one, as well...

Edit: *censored*, that was supposed to go below the other comment chain.
Edit 2: Thank you Nexus, I should wash my mouth out. Naughty, naughty boy...

Meh sorry for ignoring you man...ugh...I kinda got caught up making other patches I forgot to come back here...
I just chose the chem station since its less busy, and since im hiiding everything it made more sense to me. It was a tough desicion but i find a lot of patches i download use the tech lab and it gets crammed full of stuff..
And ya everything is balanced well!
Sorry for the month long reply...damn i suck lol

No worries and thanks for the reply.
I have since stopped playing Fallout again. It always comes in waves for me.

Ya i hear ya! I played oblivion, fallout 3 and new vegas on console, Skyrim as well.
My brother told me i was wasting my time on console, and i was like what? I love those games! ...but i got a pc anyways and purchased skyrim again and after a few weeks of searching through thousands of mods i knew my brother was right!
How the hell did i ever enjoy vanilla skyrim?!?!?

I have over 500 hours in fallout 4 but have never even made it to the dlc’s yet, i keep starting over with different mods... Im hoping soon im satisfied with zawinuls progress and say that this is it! Im starting a real playthrough now! Lol but, ya, mods are addicting!

hi there! was looking for a patch for this armor series but when i install, it says that it's missing "HorizonArmorModsArmoryActivator.esp". no matter how i install horizon, i can't seem to find this esp at all. is there any chance we can get an update to this mod that fixes this issue? thanks

EDIT: just realised that that could be the esp that you made that you mention in the description. is this the esp i need?

Damn sorry for ignoring you all this time...i totally forgot to check back here...err..but ya the armory activator is used to link all of my mods together so they can all be hidden from the crafting menu at the same time....you need to download it only once from any of my patches in the optional section...i know replying now is kinda pointless but...well sorry man!

Hey there! Shame it requires AWKCR and Armorsmith.
I will download it to endorse it, though. Because I just like Horizon patches and I'm sure someone will find it useful. All your patches seem to be very thoughtful...

      Thanks!
It’s weird but i never even considered someone not using armorsmith. I think i almost forgot it wasnt a requirement for Horizon!

If someone wanted to make versions that dont require awkcr and armorsmith id be fine with that. I wish i had have considered this when i was making all these patches, it would have been easier.....
Ah, a shame though, maybe i’ll find the time one day to make a non awkcr version...

Edit: i’ll take a look tonight when i have free time. Hopefully i have the new versions uploaded tonight. This is going to bother the hell out of me.

I have not encountered anything that Amorsmith brings to the table that Horizon doesn't do (used Armorsmith a year or so ago for a few playthroughs).
And I use only a few mods apart from Horizon, anyway.

But your edit sounds like great news. You don't have to do it for me, though. I wouldn't complain, but please don't feel pressured. :)

I dont mind! My o.c.d. meter is going off and my patches wont feel complete without doing this. I dont think it will take too long, i’ll open em’ all at once, and its just a couple edits for each armor piece. Just gotta wait for the kiddo to go to bed tonight. Hes crazy hyper from all the halloween chocolate and im sure he wont tolerate me using my laptop. Lol

Thanks for letting me know though, i dont care about a large number of downloads but if even a few people had to pass on my patches because of requirements that would have sucked!

That is very kind of you, I do really appreciate that. And I hope your kid finds the rest you both deserve. :D

Well, I'm an idiot. My patches don't need even need armorsmith as a master, I removed that from all the files... Your right though, looking into it it looks like armorsmith extended adds nothing at all substantial to horizon.

I get your point though. Vanilla FO4 without Armorsmith feels pretty incomplete. It's the little things like the inability to wear gas masks with helmets or armor pieces on top of certain clothes (don't really know if that was Armorsmith or AWKCR, but you get the idea).

Did you leave the AWKCR requirement in, though? Because I don't have that either.

Ok—-now i understand. Thanks for starting this discussion, youve really helped me! Yes, i will be removing the awkcr requirement from all my patches today.
I used the armorsmith horizon patch as a base for my patch....and something i shouldnt have done, is i added ae as a master along with awkcr because i figured i would need resources from those mods. Like you said, horizon implements its own weaves, slots...it doesnt use valdici’s item sorting....
... cleaning my mods removed armorsmith as a requirement, of course, because horizon uses its own system for weaves...
So, that leaves awkcr and the two keywords (class and slot) that i used are just simply never going to be used. They wont hurt anything, but they do make awkcr as a requirement.
I could leave things the way they are and nothing bad would ever happen, but ya, i’ll get rid of those keywords anyways.

I think if i was creating a BRAND NEW set of armor for fallout 4 i would add those keywords in, and they could be used if someone used a sorting mod. But since my patch is for horizon only, those tags are pointless since this will never be used outside of a horizon playthrough.

      Thanks again!

Ive been modding my own game for a year, and since ive been doing it for only myself, ive never really had the chance to discuss any changes ive made. Everything always worked, but anything redundant in my patches i would never be aware of.....
