Looking to spruce up my uniform finally, this mod does not seem to work after the past couple updates, reinstalled and check the folder name. Any thoughts?
Only problem here is, the uniform you used as a reference is the uniform of a Dragoon (cavalry soldier), not a Generals uniform. Also, the General Uniform in Fallout 4 is actually a civilian overcoat from the 1770-era they just militarized. They didn't put the stars on the collar either.
Very cool mate, will DL and endorse later. One suggestion; can you do a version where the rank insignia at the collar is replaced with an "embroidered-looking"(ie fabric-y) gold bar/rectangle with three silver stars on it? That would be more accurate to the Continental Army where the highest ranking General wore a gold epaulette with gold fringe and three silver stars.
EDIT: Oh, and since we're pushing our luck anyway; smaller buttons would be great too.
All versions look too clean and vibrant. I do like what you tried to do though, maybe make it look more vanilla with colour changes and UHD textures, that would be awesome. Im tracking this mod for now.
Ok, so I've got a bunch of these retex mods going, and none of them work. I've changed C:program files/steam/steamapps/common/fallout4/fallout4_default to include TEXTURES\, MESHES\ I even changed the file name to just Fallout4.ini So what is up? Am I missing something obvious here? Is this the the wrong Fallout4.ini? Nobody included a filepath in their instructions so I just went with the obvious one that had the right line in it. I've been adding mods to things since GTA3, usually textures are the easy ones.
you'll need to download v1.1 (I just loaded it), it contains the correct path with end directory "minuteman" not "minutemen". Also, only load one of the texture files, not all four.
The texture files should be placed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\textures\Armor\Minuteman.
The TEXTURES\, MESHES\ edit is for your .ini file.
Yeah that wasn't the problem, I just found the correct fallout4.ini file. BTW for anyone in the future, it's not the one in the install directory, it's in "my documents/my games/fallout4" for some reason. Hard to believe nobody explained this in any of the readmes, nice going.
Now that it works I got shiny power armour, better teeth, and a General's Uniform that isn't covered in mud and dead guy, cause why wouldn't you wash it? I mean come on you got a bunch of settlements, surely you could wash your uniform at one of them. Thanks for the mod.
Can you make it dirty? like the white make it brownish or yellow because its old, and dirt and scratches around you know, like the vanilla one. I like this retexture alot, but its too much clean for me :/

It is "Minuteman" not "Minutemen" that the files go in.
Perhaps you can change this so it will work without having to manually edit the folder name

Is that more what you had in mind?
