Alright, folks: it seems that the 1st person footsteps sound is on the way!
I'll work on it and I will release a 3rd/1st person main file on monday, alonghside with some fix. In the meanwhile I will keep working on more options/ improve the current one: Keep report friends, this helps a lot!

Next release:make another main file with clanking ( I will remake the clanking part from scratch as I am not happy with it ) / rubbing leather clothing, while raise the terrain volume and make it more audible.

I want to point out that I've made the volume on video loud on purpose as it is demostrative. The volume bar for footsteps are fully functionally how you can see, and I strongly recommend to not set this bar too high. I want to keep it in that way so even masochists have the choice I LOVE CHOICES!
150% for real, I *love* the footstep and surface contact sounds but the clanking gets off-putting real fast, I thought my speakers were malfunctioning at first.
So I've had this mod for over a month and I loved it, but I really wanted to try a new footstep sound, thing is that even though I uninstalled the mod from vortex the sound stil plays and wont let me use the new sound overhaul. Do I need a specific procedure to uninstall this mod?
Hello, I would like to say that I loved your mod but I really recommend that you put the 1st and 3rd person sound option separately, (when using a comfortable sound in 1st person the 3rd sound is very low and a comfortable 3rd person sound leaves the extremely loud 1st person sound). Apart from that your mod is perfect, my congratulations.
I fully get why you made this mod, but now the reverse is true. Even though I'm wearing only my vault suit and carrying almost nothing I"m making heavy footsteps and chain rattling with every step I take. This mod would be very useful if the sounds were more dynamic (based upon the weight of the armor you are wearing and the amount of items you are carrying).

If I can make some suggestions (if it's isn't planned lol) : - diversifie footsteps sounds example : when my character walk on woods floor it will be very appreciable to hear "wood cracking" if you see what I mean. - add a option that allow us to toggle on/off clancking and just keep footsteps in case of we change into a non "clancking armor" No pression they are just sugestions, it's up to you to apply them or not (im not pretending those will make your mod better but it's my vision to make this mod better ^^) I respect this hard work behind this mod and I saw you'll update it and this makes me happy, I'll wait this update with opitism. I in no way mean to make you feel rushed or uncomfortable by this question, so if it does, I understand if you don't respond.
