Be sure to install this mod manually, NOT with a mod manager program like MO2 or Vortex or something. 1. F4SE folder itself when installing, needs to be put into the Data folder in your Fallout 4 installed location, then 2. the same for MCM folder, 3. THEN extract the respective folders with those names into the F4 Data folder as well - in that order if you're installing it all for the first time. It will put the scripts in this mod's archive right where they need to be, and that is how it should work without problems and save your in-game settings within MCM. MO2 can't properly work with the F4SE, MCM and all mods requiring either, or both, as each mod is installed into their own folder within MO2 and can't connect with each other as required. Don't use mod managers for it.
Also be sure to install the correct version of the mod for your version of Fallout 4, for it to work correctly. Version 1.8.8 of the mod for Fallout 4 1.10.163 (pre-NG & GOG one). Version 1.9 for the Fallout 4 version 1.10.984 (NG).
Hello, i managed to do this without the need of a F4SE plugin.
How? The game uses the attachment point keywords to apply the shader.
The shader will not work if you add new keywords in place, actually if you replace all the crafting keywords all the ap_##### keywords, there is no shader in the crafting menu anymore ;)
Obviously this will all mods referencing to the vanilla keywords require a patch.
Got back into Fallout 4 recently and had a hard time finding the essential mods. This is one. Can't play without it anymore. Deserves all the endorsements and more.
You need version 1.8.8 of the mod (from the old files) if you are using Fallout 4 game version 1.10.163 (pre-NG). If you are using the newest game version 1.10.984 (NG), you need version 1.9 of the mod.
I love this mod so much, it's hard to play the game without it... Sadly I'm stuck with 1.10.980 version of the game, can't update. Any chances we will get a version that works with 1.10.980? =(
